Stop stupid station rushers

this only happened to me once in beta when I was lazy and used a docking computer, left the game to it and put the kettle on, came back and my ship was a cloud of debris!! sold the DC and now see how fast I can get through the slot!!

Yaw roll and dive in!!

The problem is not competent smugglers going at speed and then expertly setting down before anyone can scan or shoot them, it's the pillocks that boost in/out and (at best) take 5 minutes of awkward shuffling manoeuvres to dock badly or (at worst) explode in the slot or at the back of the station because they can't stop in time.

I've never seen anyone bounce off an outgoing ship and then dock well, but I've seen plenty of idiots boost in cleanly and then obliterate themselves. Out of curiosity I swung by LHS 3447 last night and spent a few minutes waiting out of the way inside the station (having departed the pad), and noticed that the majority of the boosters couldn't dock to save their life. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast....

The real solution is entrance on side and exit on the other. There is a reason why planes land and take off in the same direction at an airfield. The station design is unrealistic but the Elite legacy takes priority I guess...

Even more than one entrace in the same direction would help. Or making the existing one a bit bigger.

Who thought driving a spaceship through a letterbox would be a good idea? It's pretty entertaining though.

Had the same problem i suggest playing the solo mode when trading for now until somthing is done. seems that your progress from solo mode and multiplayer are the same so while grinding money you can play solo and avoid such situations and when you want to fight you just switch to multiplayer

I'll stop it when the Feds decide that cargo I picked up from criminals I killed on their behalf is salvage, not stolen. Until then, I have no choice.
