Stop that! ... It's getting silly.

I feel for FD, I really do .. they try something and half the community lose their turnips! ... if they respond and address these new complaints the other half the community will lose their turnips!

What are they supposed to do ?

So the NPC's are improved, nothing new there .. FD (SJA MoM) have always said they were going to improve (they have always been rubbish/too easy) ... but people have lost their turnips ! some going as far to say that the game is ruined !

So what's the solution, bring the NPC's back into line .. people will once again lose their turnips.

Some people don't like 'The Engineers' as an update ... ok, fair enough .. I don't like wings, power-play or community goals and I know I wont like Multi-crew .. there are loads of additions in the engineers which to me make it the best update so far (excluding the engineers themselves, although so far I have no problem with them)

People are completely welcome to their views, and I respect them .. but this update has been out for a very short time and I am sure FD are seriously looking into these 'issues'

But the Big problem is .. no matter what FD do .. people will lose their turnips and they cannot win.

So for me, I hope FD stick to their vision .. ignore the turnip losing .. whilst still taking constructive criticism from the community, but if that criticism doesn't match their vision, ignore it and build the game as they see fit..

If some people don't like it, it's not a problem ... I don't buy every single game available and then moan that I don't like it on said games forums.. I hate Civ 5 .. one of the biggest wastes of money I have ever spent and I don't even know if they have a forum ! let alone going over there and moaning.

I brought a game that wasn't to my taste and I thought, my fault.

Be patient, see where FD takes us and stop losing your turnips !

It's silly

carry on!

*If anybody doesn't want turnips, I kind of like them them, so send them to me*

Quite frankly, it's their jobs a developers/designers and programmers to weed through this rubbish.

If I took every personal attack on board through work, I would be crying in the corner. I balance all together, apply it to what I already know, and come up with a plan.

They will do the same, they really haven't messed up this time, they just need damage limitation.

Frontier be like...

"All your turnips are belong to us!"

Seriously, cmdrs please keep track of where your turnips are and ensure you keep them safe! The recent rash of lost turnips is causing concern and turnip insurance companies are refusing to pay out amid fears that the spat of lost turnip claims may actually be fraudulent

Yes, yes. They'll be fine. :)

But I can't get over all those lost turnips. It must be loads!
Maybe Frontier could add them to the POI spawns? Make special SAR mission?

Or a CG. It would make for a nice CG. "Bring Git Gut Turnips into Azeban city"

Civ-V contained what it promised.
So it was your fault.

FD is currently changing the game away from what it promised and is moving it towards an Spaceshooter.
So thats not peoples fault.

If they want to give Combat Oriented Players a Challenge they can simply add these Superior NPCs to the places where Combat Players Go.
Like Conflict Zones and Hazardous RES Zones or as Boss for Assassination Missions etc.

Putting them everywhere and have them interdict the same fleeing trader three times in a row even following him to the Spacedock serves no purpose and only causes frustration.
People lose their turnips (whatever that is) because they suddenly cant play their favorized playstyle anymore.
And well. Its their good right.

The improvements to the AI should not just be about making them more of a challenge. It should be improvements across the board, with consideration given to NPC rank etc.. Yes the fight, should be that, a fight, but a a level the NPC claims, to be. A mostly harmless ASP with top rail guns and super shields, is just daft.

So yes, you are right, no one will ever be happy, all of the time, but with consistency and an appropriate scale, should help lower the turnip tossing, just a bit.

Anyone, taking on a bigger, better ship, or a higher ranked NPC and loosing, have no grounds to complain. The Sir robin option, IS an integral part of the game and many need to made, to understand that.

I see Turniphead as the next big black market commodity
Baldrick has already cornered the market.

Highlighted: yes I know it was my fault, I said so .. I listened to reviews claiming it was awesome'o ... it wasn't .. my fault completely .. never listen to reviews as they are always biased.

Secondly, if interdiction's are over the top, then I am sure FD will fix the rate at which they happen pretty soon. but NPC's needed improving, and I think that a large percentage of people are still hanging on to the Bug which gave the NPC's over powered weapons.
They aren't that bad at all .. now if people are complaining that now the highest ranked NPC's are tough, they should be (tough, not people complaining) .. if the frequency that people experience these 'tough' NPC's is too high I am sure FD will fix that too ... the sky isn't falling, it's just going through a transition.

I'm getting as tired of seeing threads like these as I am the ones complaining about difficulty.

The community is not some homogeneous hive-mind where everyone is expected to want or need the same experience as they play Elite. You need to accept that the community is made up of individuals and those individuals will not always agree with you. No one individual or group of the like-minded have claim to the correct opinion on these forums and so I kindly ask that we stop marginalizing anyone for expressing how they feel about this or that feature.

To borrow a quote from the OP: "Stop that! It's getting silly" that we've resorted to criticizing the community itself.

You! Yes! You there! Stop it! We don't need that kind of level-headed thinking around here! Hop it! [mad]
