Stop the expansion before its too late

Has no one else realised this expansion of the human bubble is the road to ruin.

Two main reasons to stop the expansion are:

1. colonial expansion from the 16th century led to four hundred years of conflict and misery on a global scale and this expansion of human space will result in a similar period in our time as the large powers battle for supremacy in this new 'land'.

2. How do we know others have not already claimed these systems for their own civilisations? We know the thargoids are out there, we know they have a territory we just don't know exactly where in the galaxy they that territory is. blindly going forth and claiming every system we come across in the name of humanity is fine untill were claiming what others see as theirs.

Mark my words little good will come from this commanders the clock is ticking [alien][alien][alien][alien]

1. The colonial expansion from the 16th century led to the incredible wealth the so called western civilization now has.
2. Humans usually kill everything that is where they want to be. It's not us who needs to be scared, it's them.

About your 1, have you been to the bubble recently? It's not all rainbows and flowers at the moment. :)

Which is why expansion 22kly out is a good idea. If, and only if, it stays independent.

Oh, look a rainbow and an unicorn ;)

As if the colonial nebula expansion would stay independent…

Maybe the forced repatriation of criminals from presently known human space to this new faze of human expansion is a possibility, much as was done by the then British empire, it would solve many of the issues presently plaguing the bubble and help those colonies out at new jacques with a ready supply of 'happy' workers.

We would not have Australia if the Brits would have stayed home...

We shouldn't have Australia.
A lot of innocents suffered for that.

Same in North America.
Same in South America.
Same in Indonesia.
Same in India.
Same in Africa

Same everywhere.

Where humans colonize, others get massacred, or oppressed at best.

Of course there is always a good side to everything: Where some get murdered, others become rich.

I suppose technically if we'd never expanded we'd never have left Africa and Neanderthals (if you count Neanderthals as a different species) would have been glad of that. Mind you, being Northern European, latest scientific theory suggests I have 1 to 4 percent Neanderthal DNA... my friends suggest the percentage is higher... hee hee

All that war and conflict would have happened anyway, we would have found different reasons to shoot each other.

What the expansion did do was bring about unprecedented wealth and technological advancement, driven by the challenges of taming the New World and by the individual liberty provided by the United States. That wealth in turn has ultimately ushered in the most peaceful period in human history, the wars that occur now are shorter, less intense, and have fewer casualties on both sides than any war previously.

Stagnation and scarcity are a recipe for war, it is expansion and prosperity that bring about peace. Space is big, with room and wealth enough for all of us. The current human bubble is less than 0.1% of the galaxy. Therefore let us go boldly, and seize with our own hands what is rightfully ours.

Expansion and the seizure of new lands is inevitable. There's gold in them thar hills, and someone has to claim it.

If someone has already claimed well, that's where the clash of civilizations comes in. Just cross your fingers and hope yours is the civilization who invented the wheel.

I hate to broke immersion but in 2016 gaming targoids or any other aliens will be dumbed down versions probably thread level will be little higher like Elite NPC with Conda ;)
Also I predict they will NOT attack everybody in bubble, since they will be afraid to get nerf to the ground by vocal minority in forums ;D
So there is nothing to worry about

Complete twaddle, there were ALREADY people living on Australia when we got there, we just took a leaf from the americans book and stole the country from its owners......
