Complete twaddle, there were ALREADY people living on Australia when we got there, we just took a leaf from the americans book and stole the country from its owners......

That's where the wheel came in handy.

Yes, so we can fix their wagons & come together as a peaceful people... Until the civilization with the megaton death ray shows up to smite us ...

... Always be the civilization with the megaton death ray
and tater tots

I, for one welcome our new megaton deathray wielding overlords! :)

I love rewriting history. Perhaps we should go back and stop the Romans invading those poor indigenous Brits? Or stop those horrible scandinavians coming over in their long boats.

History is what happened, you can't change it, and history is not polically correct.

People have been conquering the crap out of each other since forever.

If someone bigger than you really wants what you have, you'd better be ready to fight, and fight hard to hang onto it. If you win, great. You get to hold onto whatever it is, at least, until next time when they come back with friends and the cycle begins again. Hope you brought friends, too.

Like it or not, that's how it works.

Yeah, it's sad all those people died, but uh... this whole America thing we got goin' over here? It's pretty rad.

About your 1, have you been to the bubble recently? It's not all rainbows and flowers at the moment. :)

Which is why expansion 22kly out is a good idea. If, and only if, it stays independent.

Not going to happen. Apparently you've already got player groups laying claim to it, on official streams as well no less.

Tell me more. Which groups deem themselves the rightful owner of the system? I'd love to read their motivation. :)

And it worked out so well for Obs Orb ... lets see if FD learn from their mistakes.

Has no one else realised this expansion of the human bubble is the road to ruin.

Two main reasons to stop the expansion are:

1. colonial expansion from the 16th century led to four hundred years of conflict and misery on a global scale and this expansion of human space will result in a similar period in our time as the large powers battle for supremacy in this new 'land'.

2. How do we know others have not already claimed these systems for their own civilisations? We know the thargoids are out there, we know they have a territory we just don't know exactly where in the galaxy they that territory is. blindly going forth and claiming every system we come across in the name of humanity is fine untill were claiming what others see as theirs.

Mark my words little good will come from this commanders the clock is ticking [alien][alien][alien][alien]

When I come across a system with an Alien space station, I'll try to refrain from walking on their grass, peeing on their planets, or planting my Flag on their moons.
Does that make you feel better CMDR?

the size of our galaxy is insane. The size of the local cluster is also insane. The ideas behind human expansionism sort of melt when considering the immensity of the cosmos.

GalCop? Seriously?

Any linkage to the horse's mouth? Very interested now :)

They ("new-fake-"GalCop) made a (really cool) video about how to get to Jaques that got shown in one of the GamesCon Frontier streams.
I think there has been some threads about it at that time.

I'm not aware that they might get an official faction there. I guess it's more like placing territorial markings (don't know if frogs do something like that, but you get the idea).
