Stopped firing at 5%

I'm in my viper doing a quick load of gold between bounty hunting, when I'm interdicted by a player in a cobra. I don't wait for any communication and just start giving it to him- targeting drives and life support to make him scared

It works and he's running for all he's worth with me bearing down on him like an avenging angel when I feel a ping of conscience. I've been there before and know it takes a bit to get to the cobra the first time. So I send a quick "have fun" message and stop firing at 5% hull

I hope one day someone will return the favour when it's me dying

Friend the Commander. I like what you did, but since he targeted you, I would have taken his life support down just to see him REALLY squirm!

Yeah to be fair should of just blown him up......sorry if that seems harsh. He would just go get repaired and interdict someone less able.

Even Pirates need to learn how to pick their target you would of been "helping" him with that, most of the time picking out a viper in a cobra is probably lets just say a little risky?

I don't get it.

What is the message here? That is is OK to go about interdicting CMDR's because even if all goes bad maybe he will be nice?

If you really wanted to make it interesting for him you should have popped his canopy.

I always go for the drives and avoid destruction of the other ship as much as possible. When the drive is gone, I ask the guy if he knew how to fix it. 7 out of 10 has no idea about Reboot/Repair.

When a guy is beaten, why beat him even more?

This is not true for the transport ships. If they don't drop something with their drive down, I have to kill them. My credibility is at stake. If I say 10 tons or die, and then I let him go that is not good for business.
