Storage in trade centres...

I know some of you will know the answer. So my problem is I cant buy any more animals in my new ish franchise zoo because it says Failed :( you have not got enough storage space available for this animal. I only had 3 cheetahs in storage at the time in that zoo but other animals from 2 other zoos were showing up too.

So first question... can you only have 1 trade centre (with 30 slots) in each zoo?
Secondly... If I have 3 zoos each with a trade centre why cant I have 90 animals in storage all together?
Thirdly... if I can only store 30 animals in one zoo, how come it let me store 67 in one (im closing the zoo and trying to save the animals) I did have multiple trade centres in that zoo at the time.

Thanks :)

Storage is 30 slots shared between all zoos, anything you put in there you can access from any other zoo. It is possible to move more than 30 animals into storage if you close a zoo but then it is locked until you move a load out. It doesnt matter how many trade centre buildings you have in the zoo.

You can have more than one trade centre however it will only give you 30 slots total. You can hold more than 30 animals by sending them to trade centre when they grow up, even if the centre is full it will add them in. I suspect the reason your trade centre is full is that all the animals from the previous zoo were transferred to storage when you closed it down.

Either move them in to your new zoo or release them to the wild/sell them on the market.

I understand your frustration though, 30 slots is no where near enough when there are over 70 species in the game.

Not sure I agree, 30 should be enough, people shouldnt be hoarding animals in the trade centre, they should either be in zoos or being traded. Personally i would have had much more limited space and had the animals age and need feeding.

Ok thank you both, Now at least I know what the rules are I can sort it... I have been selling and releasing what I cant use. but have quite a few Im sort of attache to... there may well me a few Red Pandas on animal market this evening oh and Nile Monitors. Its hard to chose who to keep tho I love them all hahahaha

Im going to have to build some Nile Monitor nurseries lol.... how they multiplied so quick I have no idea. they are worse than the Peafowl! Thank goodness for contraception.

Yes the young ones you will have to place in a habitat until they become adults before you can release/sell them
Not quite, if you don't mind the micro-management, there is another way.
All you need is a second zoo with a trade center and some quarantine stations. If you run the zoo with a single habitat for a few years, you can research staff room level 3. The big station has space for 24 animals and with the loans you can build some of them. Otherwise you have to stick with 8 animals per room.
Hire some helpers and put the animal from TC to quarantine.
Only keep in mind, that the helpers have to get them out of the TC before they don't count against your limit any more. And remember that your animals will get older in quarantine.

But if you need storage in your TC that's a workaround.

oh my goodness how on earth did you find that out ..... Good tip for future, I have sort of sorted most of it now by raising them in a habitat and releasing them all to the wild I still have quite a few Red Pandas but its now just below 30 in storage so I can buy new animals as I need them.
