There should be an option to store commodities at stations just as it is with ships, this would make the whole trading scene more dynamic and real. And maybe the option for the faint hearted to transfer cargo to another station - naturally for a hefty fee and the possibility of letting the AI handle potentional interdictions. Aaand I kind of feel there should be a storage fee for stuff like this? Or is there? A percentage of the value seems reasonable.
"and don't forget, this Liner is in the top 1% of all Liners out there"... This stuff is actually a good idea. Random messages picked up on the radio gives a nice feel of the actual randomness in space. However, it seems FD have forgotten all about it. The same four or five messages repeating over and over completely breaks immersion. How about putting a few people together and write a TON of random chatter? Literally f%&kloads of random stuff - ranging over every possible situation and theme. Different databases for different settings. System state, area density and so on. Random generated combinations to generate varied contents. Time actual news related if so desired. Would be cool! Also, it would be nice to be able to scale down the comms. Or is there? I might have missed that option, but would be nice to reduce/adjust the size of the text.
And again: please remove the giant flashing signs when switching modes (combat/analysis) and when missing targets in FSS. Text based information looks way way better than some giant console like animation thingy.
And one last thing: FD could maybe make it possible to purchase a printed nice image of any given CMDR's first discovered system? With some nice infos and stuff on it too - "blabla system first discovered by cmdr blabla 22nd of blabla". Let players choose an image of the system and what info to be printed on - all the data is easily accessible for the devs. I for one would definately spend a few bucks on such geeky stuff to put next to my non-existent "First hole in one" golf ball on the shelf of self. Could might bring in a few bucks to ED so they could at one point implement the holy grail in ED: building your own base...
