Hi everyone,

Just a heads up that we are about to switch on a new payment system on our store. Currently this is for UK customers only. If you encounter any errors at all, please post in the thread below - but things should run pretty smoothly!

Thanks,

Ed

Trying to purchase Mercenary Edition and the store is popping up this error. Also it was showing up as $50 earlier today and now it is $80 and with a discount to $56 and when I added to cart it wasn't receiving the discount. Then shortly after the store went down. Whats happening?

I don't know if this is related, but saying it here just in case.

I'm based in the Philippines and have gone through the motions of purchasing the Elite: Dangerous Mercenary Edition using the U.S. Dollars option. However, while pretty much every corner of the game site and store indicates that the Mercenary Edition is on sale for $50 (down from $80), the checkout process up until "Order Review" continues to list the game at $80, with no indication that the discount is being applied.

To note: Switching to Euro or British Pounds reflects the discount properly. However, I would prefer to use U.S. Dollars as the purchase currency since this gives me the best conversion rate to Philippine Peso.

Needless to say, I am standing by and waiting for the disparity to be resolved before I click on that really tempting "Place Order" button. :p

Store is still working for me and I was about to buy 2 discounted skins but it still seems bugged, discount is not applied, will wait until its working... :-/

North American customers seeing wrong prices in store.

I live in Ontario, Canada, and was pleased to see a banner advertising a pre-order for the digital mercenary edition of Elite for 50 dollars. However, on opening the store page, the listing price was 80 dollars, and remained that way all the way to check-out.

Will a 50 dollar price be made available for North American buyers? Or was the banner a mistake?

US and USD here. I picked up 18 skins (the cheap, basic ones for Sidey and Eagle) for $0.00 earlier today. It seems this was an error, and I'll be happy to overspend on a Chris Foss paint pack to make up for it later.

Now, for the sale, basic skins are $1.75 according to the store entry page. In the actual store, I'm seeing $2.80 for any of them, including the ones I bought for $1.75 yesterday. The Viper flags have also gone up in price.

Had no problems before the store update, a coworker preordered about 24 hours ago with no issue.

As others have posted, the pricing is off for the Full and Merc editions. The Merc edition shows as $50 USD on the banner, then switches to $80 on checkout. It is also listed elsewhere in the store for $56. The Full edition is listed as $112 now, but on checkout is $0.

Frontier need to outsource their Magento to an accredited developer.

The number of issues are inexusable, especially considering such a small product catalog.

And for it be from a software firm, that warps my mind as if spacetime itself is being torn apart by a giant irony monster.

And for petes sake, get a staging server and use github!
Downtime for an upgrade? Seriously?!

And sort out your SSL. Bejeeze cant you affort SANs?

Black Friday. Not a good day for a system update.

I wanted to download and install Dangerous for the first time just now, I get "Work in progress, back soon. We are updating the Elite: Dangerous Store. Thanks for your patience, we'll be back soon."

Wondering how much money you are losing...

Cheers...

I hope someone with skills to make it works signs on soon.

So this works (prefix with https):
//store.elitedangerous.com/eur/

This doesn't:

//store.elitedangerous.com

Links don't work from the main site..

And as kickstarter backer (Early Backer Reward) it looks like I don't get the download till 16th December... bah.

Cheers...

Store is up again and price of boxed version seems to be fixed.

Now what a lot of people probably want to know is wether they'll be able to keep their order. Reddit is full of people bragging they got 18+ skins or even the boxed edition for free... And honestly that seems a bit unfair.

+1 on "black friday is probably not a good time to push an update on your store"

Yes I agree. I do not like to criticize in general, but I do not understand how Frontier can tolerate to have bugs on a topic as serious and sensitive that the orders for goods and payment. I must say that I have never seen this kind of situation elsewhere. For me it is incredible for a company
