Store: ships

Hello,

I have been wondering all this time why the store is only selling ship paint, since the users can't even see their ships and it's completely useless.

Instead, the store should sell ships, it would have much more success.
Provided the price is correct of course, not like those paints we can't even see - even if we could, it would still be too expensive for what it's worth.

I heard they want to only sell cosmetic stuff in the Store. They don't want people to buy an advantage over some of the other players.

Ships are probably one of the things that the shop will never sell.
Until they realise there's money in it

I really don't want to see it or any other advantage like equipment or anything. The problem is, companies start to see reduced incomes from sales of the game and then begin adding this stuff to the shop to make up for it. I know a few online games that started with a promise of "no advantages from the cash shop" but soon decided it was worth more money to sell those advantages to people with large wads of cash to afford them.

I've heard about another game that does that. I forgot the name, but the initials of it are the same as for SuperCruise....

If it ever came to that, I'd rather support development with a subscription than a micro-transaction pay to win model. For now the cosmetics are nice. I'm fine paying for good expantion content. The ability to buy fast upgrades or unlock shortcuts just makes games feel kinda sleazy.

I remember reading that they will not allow people to buy equipment and or ships that would give them an advantidge over other players with real money. They wanted the game based off of skill not how much you want to pay. That is also why they don't have in game skills. You earn in game money for better ships and equipment, so you have to play the game. The game is all about how well you play the game.
