stored ship transfer

Understand this is being reviewed, looking at a pilot flying it to you, or it being transported to you, why complicate it, why not just have a system service that provides you with a replica of your ship to fly, the company then claim your one from the station its stored at, only issue I can forsee is cross faction, empire might not give a ship to a federation shipyard, so to claim your copy, you must visit a same faction shipyard to have this requested.

Any thoughts on this idea, I posted it back in January as I thought it was being looked at, 3 months on, still nothing, ships spread out and need to fly out to get them..frustrating.

I remember reading somewhere there was going to be a transfer fee for ship delivery, (Amount depending on the distance) - I think this is a decent way to go about it.

Wouldn't really make sense for a poor station struggling to feed it's populace to suddenly give you a Kitted Python out of no where.
Apart from cross faction trading issues, Remember not all stations have all ships... or parts.

I think delivery is a safest and practical option.

But delivery doesn't address my issue. I was not really trying to solve the problem of ship locations. If I find myself way out in exploration, some thousands of light years away I cannot do anything else until I return. This could be months if I were like some of the others who have gone to the opposite side of the galaxy. I just think it would be good to be able to flick over to one of the other ships I own and go do something else for a bit.
