Stored Ships lost in space

While I wait for my support ticket to be solved, has anyone found a solution to the stored ships that vanished together with the station renaming? I've lost a well specced Cobra and Lakon-6. Still showing up as stored when I go to the Shipyard but of course the station no longer exists. Is it worth wandering around at random stations or am I, as I suspect, going to need to wait for the ticket to be reviewed?

Pity, as most of my wealth was tied up in those assets. Left with a Cobra kitted out for exploring and a couple hundred K.

If you look on the galaxy view, does it show the ships at another station in the same system? Stored ships are shown as a little cobra icon at the system and station.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have indeed found my missing ships - they were in the same system, but in a different station. The original station has gone, and the one in which they now reside is in a completely different location within the system. Didn't see it before I docked but there does also appear to be a blue cobra icon above the station in the System view. Not sure if that reflects my current location or that of my stored ships but I'll be able to tell when I fly outside.

All of this does make me wonder why we simply don't have the Station name listed when we go to the Shipyard/Stored Ships UI. The System is listed so why not the station?

depends... when the garage was associated with the stations unique backend id, not. if it was associated with station name most likely yes, but which dev would do something like this?

I assumed the garage is pointing to an object ID rather than the station name. Luckily the ID didn't get associated with another station object several thousand LY away :)
