Stories from Valhalla: Avenging the Fallen

[OOC] - I am getting a little bored with ED I think in most part since I'm used to playing games with a story so I decided to create my own to give myself some purpose[/OOC]

Entry as follows:
The empire. Where do I begin? I hate their very existence. Mom, Dad, family, they are all gone. Each one of them slain by members of the Empire Youth Recruitment Program just shortly after my departure to Coggia port. Somehow they found out my intentions to join the Aymifa Resistance. But how? I told no one. As far as mom and dad knew I was leaving in the sidewinder to trade some fish. My papers were all in order as far as the port authority was concerned. Hell the cowards even kept almost a quarter of my cargo as a donation to the Empire. A mole in the resistance, has to be. No matter, the past is the past and I have to stop dwelling upon it. I do long to be back within the warming arms of my sweet, beautiful Valhalla. The soothing comfort of your heartbeat as it crashes against your beaches. The deepest blue of your eyes keeping a constant watch over us from the heavens. The therapeutic aroma released as the morning sun forces the Xveliante flowers to open up to the world.

Twelve years have I been away but I have found new hope. While trading goods near Ardhin a fellow Browncoat informed me of some information he picked up in a tavern at a station near the Pleiades Nebula. This could be just what I need to attain the credits to upgrade Skolls’ Fang with weaponry to battle the evil enslaving my people. So having just sold the last of my cargo and spending almost all I have to my name to upgrade my frame shift drive to push Fang to the far reaches of the galaxy I set out to either find the proverbial gold mine my Brother in Arms informed me of or I will be lost in the black. Odin as my witness, when I return, Tyr himself will be bathing in the blood of my enemies for a millennia.

Word just come over the station comm that Fang is fueled up and repaired. I will be leaving a remote log entry receiver hidden here on the station for me to upload my findings to. I have set the receiver to contact my only living kin in the event I don't return within 5 weeks time. If you are reading this, know that I tried and should any of my findings help in our struggle, it's now up to you to carry the torch. I couldn't take back what is ours but one day our world will know freedom once more

Entry as follows:
Left Kozeyev's Claim almost 24 hours ago in search of information that would have surely incited riots throughout all of Aymifa. I don't remember just how many unidentified signal sources I investigated but as with all things true in this life, trouble ended up finding me. As I dropped out of hyperspace my radar blew up with 3 contacts and not a single one was happy to see me. My hull was already down to 80% from my carelessness. Searching all the USS's can take it's toll and I ended up falling asleep and damn near piloted right into a star. So I put all I could into my thrusters and kept smashing the boost trigger. Starting to regret not picking up a couple beam weapons. Anyways, luck took a turn for once in my favor. As it would happen a pilot dropped in and mopped up the scumbags. I wasn't sure if he was there collecting bounties or just wanted to help out the helpless but I didn't want to find out. As soon as my frameshift drive cooled down I got her charging right back up again so I could high tail it out of there. As betty was counting down my comm opened up and the pilot that just saved my tail asked if I would delay and share a word. He'd been out exploring for weeks and I was the first soul he'd encountered (save the 3 that he just sent straight to hell) and just wanted some friendly conversation. How could I refuse? He went on for quite some time about all the systems he'd explored and even shared some of the images he'd taken. I was amazed. So I decided to tell him what I was searching for and I swear I don't think he was ever going to stop laughing. Guess I flew straight into a trap and as I look back on the situation I can see it clearly. Gullible pilot desperate to save his homeworld. Feed him a line about some intel that makes the Empire look bad and send him to a few specific places to search while his buddies lie in wait. I'll have to return to Kozeyev's Claim one day in hopes of finding him again. Before he left he let me in on some systems that he knew hadn't been explored yet and said if I wanted to make a fair amount of credits with little effort to head that way. Man he wasn't kidding. As soon as I docked I went straight to the Cartographer's Guild to unload my data and was rewarded with almost 700,000 credits. 700,000 CREDITS!!! In just under 12 hours of true work. This may be just be the golden ticket I need to finish outfitting Fang for war. Looks like my explorer ranked increased as well. Maybe one day I'll be among the elite. Haha, yeah right.

Heading down to the outfitting station to change the color of my consoles (that orange is just ugly) before heading back out. There are a few systems left in the quadrant I was exploring that I want to check out and then I think I'm going to head to whatever Nebula or Cluster looks appetizing. I've always wanted to see what the edge of our galaxy looks like. Guess now is a good time to find out. Oh I almost forgot. I took a photo of the Seven Sisters before I left. Orion had the right idea to save them. They truly are beautiful.
