Ships Storing new SRV's on Fleet Carrier

I bought 6 of the new SRV's and docked at my fleet carrier. Is there any way to store the SRV's on the carrier to be swapped between ships? I only seem to be able to store the Vehicle Hangar module with the SRv's inside. A side question, is there any reason not to use the new SRV's over the old ones, they seem to have a scanner and 2 weapons?

Furthermore: No seems not storage. You need to store the whole SRV bay including SRV
