Storing Scorpions

Bought a Scorpion , went back to my carrier,. Couldn't store the Scorpion so stored the Hangar. When I reinstalled the hangar it had a Scarab in it; the Scorpion has evaporated, apparently. Is this supposed to happen?

It should not. I have an assortment of hangars with Scorpions of Scarabs, and as it not obvious to me, I have to check which SRV is in the hangar I have just added to the ship. Scorpions are still there.

SRVs work like fighters so its dependent on the system you are in as to what you see you can't store fighters or SRVs of any type So if you want to keep the ones you have don't remove the hanger from your ship.

Why Fdev chose to go this route is beyond me. considering you're able to build fighters on the fly you have the needed plans, all fighter and srvs should be available at any location with outfitting.

I can remove the PVH to my carrier and the Scorpions are still there when I add it back to a ship.

You're not the only one to experience this.

When the update dropped, I took an almost empty Anaconda to the military base in my current system and bought 3 vehicle hangars (a class 4 and a pair of 2's) and filled them with scorpions. Flew back to the carrier, stored one of each, switched to one of the ships I wanted a class 2 in, but upon transfering it to the ship, it was empty.
After re-jigging the modules the c4 was empty too. The one hangar I already had with a scarab retained it's contents (as do fighter hangars, as you'd expect).

I assumed it was some rule that because they are only available at military stations (and carriers are civilian even if you buy and stock the outfitting module) they had to be fitted there.

It sounds like this isn't the normal behavior after all so perhaps I'll try again.

Weird. I have not experienced this at all. I have many hangars with an assortment of contents. The main problem is there is no way to know what it in the hangar until you install then if its the wrong one, you don't know where it is when you swap to another and may pick the very same one from the list.

Switched hangers yesterday on two ships, in a system that does not sell the Scorpion.

It worked just fine, the hangar with a Scorpion in it was installed on the other ship. It did not disappear.

Maybe you experienced a unique bug, maybe you misclicked when buying.

My question is why do you want one? It's slower and has horrible weapons jitter. I'm not even sure you can run over an NPC with one. For the record, I do have one in my current hanger and enjoy driving it, but it worthless compared to the scarab. Yet another bad design idea by FDev that could be remedied easily enough.

I've had Scorpions disappear too. Chalked it up as an EDO bug. It's reproducable but since I'm done with beta testing, I forgit how.

yes the scorpion can run over NPCs.

It's just such a disappointment, I like the sound and the feel of it when you drive it, but the minute you open up with the gun you just shake your head at the stupidity of it all.
if this would be an disappointment to me I would stop playing the game.
i transferred from console, so the concept of an emotional feeling like disappointment is something I have overcome.

Thank You,Frontier Developments for teaching me do get rid of my illusional life expectations to become a lucky indivudual.
My Depressions were just created by my own stupid expectations.
Embracing Happiness now, while running over NPCs in my scorpion SRV

I totally like running over NPCs.
In Arma my favorite weapon is the supply truck
I wonder if there is a running over NPCs discord

Okay... Sarcasm?
The gaming industry as a whole has taught me to lower my expectations (or give in to depression). ED helps to reinforce that by providing a fairly constant flow of bugs, without totally destroying gameplay.

It's kinda like all the aches and pains I'm experiencing at my age. I can't change it, so I just consider it normal.

I'm not really overly disappointed, but I have to say I'm perplexed at the need to spend time developing something and then making it useless for its intended purpose... But yes, I do love running over them. Last night while doing a restore mission I had six of them attack my ship. I decided that shooting them was too good for them and let them taste my bumper instead. Was a blast watching them fly off after getting a good kiss from my machine!
