Story Modules

Hi all, this is something I've been posting on reddit a while ago, though the more I think about it the more I like the idea, so I wanted to bring it up again here:

How about Story-/questline modules for ED?

Similar commercially to e.g. buying audiobooks: handcrafted storylines, with according special locations(*) et al, dialogues, voice acting, etc. Would require some new features to really work, like walking about places, meeting NPCs, stuff like that.

(*) Bars, apartments, other places in stations, asteroid bases, wrecks in space and on planets, deserted settlements, underground complexes, you get the idea.

There could be a story module produced e.g. every quarter, buying them would be completely optional, and not buying them wouldn't take anything away from the core game. Once the enabling features are there, this kind of content should be producable in a controlled manner, cost- and planning-wise, and might even include community content (there are artists, writers, voice actors, modelers, etc).

Could call it 'Space Quests' :)
