Storyline Inconsistencies continue

Hi CMDR's and FDev
.
I'm confused. I love Elite Dangerous and play with a good deal of "immersion" thanks to the way the game is designed (I know many on the Forum will pitch in to disagree).
.
However: I have noted, what seem to me to be basic, schoolboy errors in some of the story detailing (I know GalNet is flawed at present...but).
.
Examples for discussion (and perhaps fix???? FDev):
.
The centre and capital of The EMPIRE is supposed to be the planet "Capitol".........how can that be when it is a totally uninhabited water world (there are no lights on in the dark side of the planet i.e. no-one at home!):

And yet we see the storyline giving that activities are happening on the planet (see the next bit from GalNet):

It doesn't mention anything about scuba gear, wetsuits or submarines!!!!
.
Then we come to a real hash-up IMHO....apparently a foreign power has invaded the VERY HEART of the EMPIRE!!! and it is just a little side note in the local press! There is no ability for any player interaction.

There is no great outcry or outrage..... however the "War" that has come to The Empire is actually just the usual generic procedurally generated comment that appears on all and every station at some stage...BUT SURELY it should be filtered out of the CENTRAL systems of the Empire, Federation and Alliance for pete's sake!!!!.
This is just a small selection I've noticed. IMHO these errors just break any immersion the developers are trying to create ... do please feel free to correct me, but these jarring breaks in immersion seem to be being ignored.

Would lights from underwater cities shine through the ocean ? I believe they would use subaqua vessels such as the Moray to get around. ;)

It's already been reported as a bug and FDEV have made a comment on it here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=132639

Ahh .... Thanks for that edgar. I should have but didn't find that post even though I did do a quick search. FDEV still haven't answered why the capital and administrative planet of the most eminently powerful faction in the galaxy is FLOODED! Perhaps Federal agents infiltrated and left the taps (faucets) running!

I remember reading about the war breaking out and thinking oh golly this is incredible! But nothing...

Suggest you take this thread and move it to the bugs reports.

Well done for bringing it up

Ah yes, I reported this a few weeks ago.

Maybe it shows the so called 'massacre' never happened and was an excuse for a war-like federation to invade a wealthy independent system. ;)

You actually pay attention to this crap?

Many thanks for your input acg515. I didn't realise that there were such kind hearted individuals who would spend their valuable time (and unpaid too) in steering fellow citizens away from things that they were misguidedly believing to contain some worth, and in so doing, were wasting their own time. Thank you.:p
