Strange goings on at HIP 17403

This image shows the multiple crash site on HIP 17403 A 4 A on 7th January 2019:

But here it is today: (further back; similar direction)
140984

The planet surface seems to have extruded a huge protuberance centred roughly on the crashed Thargoid. The other crashed ships are in about the same arrangement around it as before.

This seems likely to be a bug: a change in the planet relief or the whole site moved onto the hill which was previously behind. Or, maybe it's a weird Thargoidy effect?

Whereas you used to be able to drive around and pick up Thargoid sensors and fragments, now it's a 60 degree slope and they come rolling down towards you.

Heh,

Was just talking to somebody about stuff like this.

Years ago I used to have a problem, in ED, where I'd find that the landing-pads at surface installations would be offset from the installation, itself, by a couple of hundred metres - thus meaning that I often couldn't land because the pad would be clipping inside the installation or, possibly, inside the planet surface.

It looks like the change at that 'goid crash site might be a symptom of the same issue.

Fundamentally, I think ED sometimes shifts the co-ordinates of surface structures slightly and you get things like this as a result.
