Strange graphical artefact in MAIA

Hi CMDR's
I just had this very strange graphical artefact (see video). I restarted the game but it was still there. So, I rebooted my computer and it was gone. Has anybody ever seen anything like this before?

Background info: For those who want more info: I set course for MAIA. 9 jumps. When I got within 5 jumps of MAIA, I noticed a green square on my screen. It got bigger as I got closer. Then when I jumped to MAIA I was in it. As you can see in the video it was even showing on the galactic map. Near the end of the video I jump out and look back.
I had a podcast running whilst I was playing. I didnt know it would be heard would be picked up by my game recording software. Sorry.

Looks like that goddamn place finally fell into the local black hole. Good riddance!

Or more likely, something is wrong with Pleiades nebula rendering, or with your graphic card drivers, or both. Since this nebula got new graphics, it is known to acting strange - lags (and I mean LAAAAAAGS) on galaxy map when you zoom in, and some other things.

That looks like a hardware failure. video cards do things like that when overheating. Doesn't mean it has to be anything like that in your case, but I would keep an eye on the GPU and CPU temperature, just in case.

Could be a knackered GPU.
Maybe try different drivers that you know work

Hate to say it but that looks like a dying video card. Had that happen to my GT580 many years ago, it just went psychedelic before it stopped working completely. Turns out it was severely overheating and the card fried.

Although the inside of the station looked okay, so it might just be texture corruption on the hard disk.
