I have videoed this in HIP 15980, but I have seen the same issue in other systems, where the visibility of some rings seems to depend entirely on the view angle of the pilot/ camera, regardless of the angle of the star light on the rings.

The 1st attached image shows one example - you can see the shadow on the inner ring, and the very odd lighting on the outer ring. This was taken from around 2.3 ls from the planet.
This second shot is from a slight different angle from the same position - you can see the sunward portion of the outer ring is now entirely invisible.
This effect happens On Ultra, Medium or Low graphics settings - there is no visible differences on the ring visibility between the settings. This is illustrated on the video.
Has anyone else seen this - or is there a good explanation for it - it seems uttlerly bizzare to me and more likely to be a bug.
