Strange noises....

Ok I'm freaking out now. Anybody else ever hear what sounds like roaring for lack of a better word whenever they dock at an outpost? Currently hearing it for the second time now in varying levels of volume. Or is it just some machine on the outpost? If it's the outpost I would've never thought it would make such a sound.

Better not be those thargoids watching me man. I haven't played any other elite games so ya know, fearing the unknown and all that...

I was wondering that as well since I saw this display showing some red skulls. If that's the case why? To scare unknowing commanders like myself? If so it worked fantastically.

It is just the pirate outposts that do that sound. As to why however, I do not know. It certainly does give a 'scary' atmosphere to the area however, though I still wonder how that sound is carried through the void to the Commanders ears..

It's the Sensors I read somewhere that the sensors make the sounds so you can notice things better

I hear it trust me your not alone. It's quite trippy but I'm pretty sure its just the forcefield thing makin noise as you pass through.

Sometimes the pirate outposts have a siren go off, first time i heard it, it was amazing! Sounded like a raid alarm

Ok you need to stop eating the demon curry if it's going to cause your stomach to do THAT lol.

So it would actually seem that it's just a thing with pirate outposts judging by the answers I've recieved. Dang pirates....
