Horizons Strange planetary textures

I saw some strange surface textures last night.

I'm out in the middle of nowhere heading for Colonia. I was down hunting for volcanoes when I saw this. It was on rather small planetoid. You can see where I am on the second image

Kind of really square areas with much darker textures.

I Haven't seen this before. Might be a result of 2.2 perhaps. Have any one else seen this.

This is been an issue with every version for as long as I can remember.

OK, then I guess I just haven't come across it before. Strange though, I must have been down to hundreds of planets.

Well, now I'll keep my eyes open and see if I can spot more of these.
