Reports of strange communications and systems malfunctions aboard Drake-Class carriers near HIP 12099 in the Pleiades Sector has prompted Brewer Corporation to publicly deny any deficiencies in ship build quality. A corporate public relations officer authorized to speak replied, “Any such notions are nonsense! Our products built the very foundation of our place amongst the stars.”

And before I start the game up again sometime this week:

The very first thing I checked, two months ago, was the Intel processor reference manual, since rax is obviously a 64bit register. But I couldn't find any instruction that might be the "xla".
Also, there is no LA for the 6502, which would mean Load Accumulator, only LDA; I never did 6502-assembly though, although I did have an Atari 130XE.

And another thought I had, and this was crazy, but it's something I would do: Hide code or an algorithm in the star system structure itself. I had the idea that the Maia-system might be a code-fragment.

And no, I'm not gonna run the game in the debugger and make it crash and scan the memory, I hate reverse engineering :D

Hint: Charon's Obol

Use exploration, knowledge of lore and math to find decryption key

You're trying to bribe me with a coin?

And the ED-servers run on beer? That explains a lot!

EDIT: And my eyes also run on beer, the stickys changed back from blue to grey ;)

What if I told you that I'm a LIBERAL who skips every 6th or 7th day leg day?

There are so many days to explore if you skip so many! That's a major source of confusion to me.

That is nice, I visited 2079 stars, of which 297 are dear to me. I still need to find out how to cherish those.

As for coinage, I fear being maimed by a lion. Or is it mamed? I can't remember, I'm such a mess.

Oh, how I wish I had lots of credits. Something along 9 billion? Was it more, was it less, I can't picture it? Anyway, I'm at a loss where do I address this issue? I should file a complaint.

Oh, how wonderful the human brain is! But the synapses are overfiring, overloaded with outformation! There is so much a single mind can handle!

Commanders are reporting coded messages hidden in fleet carrier names orbiting the Jameson Crash Site.

The puzzle has been solved by: Cyntinel

Solution: Using the highs and lows in the carrier names to follow the path of John Jameson. When you combine the text from the carrier names and decode it with keyword: Jameson the $1,200 prize unlocked.
