Strange Texture/model issues.

So, first post on the forums in a while as a returning player. Im having an issue on a laptop while trying to run odyssey.

The specs of the system are as follows:
AMD Ryzen 5 3500U Mobile
Vega 2gb
8gb ddr4
NVME ssd

I play both on this system when im travelling and on a desktop at home, i have no issues on the desktop.

The game runs fine, and the textures load as they should on the main menu, but in game, they look like the below.

Elevators, weapons, Ships, wall textures, etc. all are weird regardless of graphics setting i put it on.

Any ideas?

Yeah, you are below min specs there for Odyssey so it's not surprising you are having trouble with textures and stuff, the recommended min graphics card memory is 3gb and since that's an integrated GPU it will be using shared system memory so you don't really have 8gb of system memory available either. Not sure what you can do about that, just put up with bad textures I guess.

You likely have only a single SO-DIMM of memory. Adding another 8GB of RAM should help this as there will be space to hold textures in RAM, which will transfer much faster than loading from disk.

Regardless, you should be playing at 720p low to get the best performace, but the integrated GPU is the bottleneck here.

I concur with the posts above. Not enough VRAM for the game to allocate what's needed for textures and not enough system memory for the system to allocate enough to VRAM without causing issues.
