Not the strangest I've seen, but still strange:
The Spitting Cobra, with perfect accuracy up to 20 feet, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong)
The Flying Snake, not a true flyer, but still an impressive sight

I have found this strange strange animal - the cinereous mourner is a dull greyish-brown bird from the Amazon rainforest; the chicks however mimic both the bright-orange fuzzy appearance and writhing movements of an extremely toxic species of hairy caterpillar.

Another unusual mammal - the springhare (a large hopping rodent from Africa) has recently been found to glow fluorescent orange and hot pink when exposed to ultraviolet light.

Honestly, the springhare is an animal I would be really pleased to see in Planet Zoo - they're big enough (much larger than a ring tailed lemur), would have the same hopping model of the kangaroo and are often kept in mixed exhibits with aardvarks in zoos.
