Watching live stream, and it looks shops and park management are also coming! Or maybe they just have access, anybody know?

Anyone be so kind to sum up a list of features seen on the live stream? Just waking up over here on the east coast.

Muchas Gracias!!

Muchas Gracias!!

On the first developer stream, they went over some of the new features coming in Alpha 3. They also posted the videos from that to their youtube page.

Coaster track selector tool to choose which parts of the track to edit after building them.
Custom supports! You can remove the default supports, place them elsewhere or build your own!.
Editable ride entrances. No longer having that yellow arch, you can build anything on them.
Blueprints used to select and place whole buildings where you want (shown some fairy tale styled buildings).
Walls can be recolored. Showing a palette of 85 colors for the wall.
Props can be recolored too. Showing a sleeping dragon prop getting re-colored.
Using the recolorable wall pieces to make giant paintings/murals.
Showing water, with reflections and some bridges over it.
Building road sections in a grid! Fantastic for interiors.
Showcasing the desert environment and props.

On the second part of the stream, about an hour of gameplay with youtuber Flabaliki was shown. During that, we show things like:

fast passes and fast pass queues for rides,
making bridges over water (and adding water),
animated parts in buildings like a windmill,
multiple track type selections for one coaster,
ploppable blueprints for coasters and buildings,
the ability to make your own blueprints,
the new lights with configurable colors,
benches/trash bins that can attach inside or outside the path,
coaster stats and testing, staff,
park management features like price etc,
people thoughts after riding a coaster,
the ability to scale the tunnel width while making a track

and a lot more. I think I have missed some things.

Next up is Silvarret!

There was SO much to take in during the Flabaliki stream as he was really just playing it, discovering things as he went along so there was a real blink and you'll miss it factor to spotting some new elements, but it was exciting. I love how detailed the ride and peep stats menu appears to be.

I liked the filter option on the side for the UI. That will be a godsend and the fact that there is only 1 light with different colour option although intensity and lens angle is still not implemented so likely wont be which is a shame.

But yes a lot. I could not see a lot of detail as at work (working honest gov) so will watch again tonight properly so the more comments the better.

Oh I also really liked the coaster stats and testing/edit system. It seemed excellent compared to older games.

Regards,

Adam

Awesome! Sounds exciting, can't wait to get my hands on this game. Thanks!

And a small but very welcomed change was the 1H wall piece. Finally! [squeeeeee]

Thank god about this, as I totally didnt saw it. Im one of the people that always asked in all the streams and question time about those pieces that were really needed.

While I love this option, and i did it clevearly use it in alpha 2 by using the natural path to erase supports, and put my own with the full rotating bug and the black beams (that are grid based so they dont have full rotation), creating your own supports its actually pretty difficult right now becuase of the collision detection of scenery pieces on tracks (and is still there if the stream is any indication). Sometimes you could get them near a track, and other times it was impossible, even if it totally seem you could do it.

Yes! I know it's a small and somewhat minor thing but SO many times I was building and really needed that piece. Now I only saw them utilize the new stone wall. I'm hoping all wall types have that piece though

Just want to respond here as well...

I opened a few threads with questions and on a lesser scale some worries. Still want to reply here to once again make sure thats it's always more easy to see "less good" things, as to see the good things because we take them for granted. Besides the questions i have i tought we had some great news today.

- Water added in different colors (maybe more to come?)
- HUGE improvements in coaster editor, i can't even list them all, but it seemed very nice. We can even choose different trackstyles now!
- Big improvement on supports
- Impressive color management
- Fastpass system

So all in all im still pretty amazed at all we have going!

Not yet seen the official steam but did see the gamescon videos, one concern is the lack of new vegetation / plants / flowers / trees. Feel limited in what is currently there and no seeing new variety in any of the videos. Additionally have they confirmed grass at all?

There were new foliage in the build we got to see. And some trees and stuff, but they didn't really show them piece by piece so could be more I didn't noticed.
