Streaming chat into the Vive?

I stream now and then various games but the one I want to stream is Elite and seeing that I use the Vive its made this option not viable because I can't see the chat window for Twitch when wearing the Vive. I know I can switch from the game to desktop via the button on the side but is there a way to place twitch chat into the VR environment to save me switching views?

I think the Twitch streams I've seen are all TrackIR users, that or they don't pay attention to the incoming chat messages. Or just recording for posting on YouTube etc.

What you want is https://github.com/Hotrian/OpenVRDesktopDisplayPortal it lets you put basically any window you want into a VR game, you can world lock it, screen lock it, or have it attached to one of your controllers.

Getting Twitch Chat to show up within the cockpit, I use this awesome tool found on github.
