We're on the forums, not youtube.Well guys, I just thought you might be interested in knowing WHY the code was so glitchy - excuse me for livin geez - Everything I alluded to over the last several posts was pretty much on the mark - You can't please all the people all the time - Some would rather have something to gripe about
Should this thread be called streaming for clicks?
On subject of glitches, I have started getting thrown out to Windows desktop midgame and having to click on client tab to get back in.
Whether this is a gfx card, Windows, or game issue is uncertain.

Code base is too old to handle things like space legs and needs to be rewritten to implement modern features and clean up everything "bolted on" to the old engine. That's my translation, anyway. What does it say?![]()
It might be, but I suspect it would be of the underlying Cobra engine as customized for ED. They can rebuild the engine while leaving the current APIs intact, thus not requiring things like UI, animations, etc to be changed. It's like lifting a house off of a foundation in order to replace that failing foundation - you don't need to rebuild the house, though you may have to rework some of the connections between the house and the new foundation. That sounds like a rebuild.
Ive got 8gb, rarely happens, when it does it gives me the bug reporter.I had this problem when I had 8 GB RAM - upgrading to 24 fixed it for me. That's not to say you're seeing the same problem.

I figured it was about time to upgrade to 16. Ddr3 should be fairly cheap nowadays.for me the game ran fine on 8 GB, but if I opened a web page or another program that required a lot of memory it would dump the game. Most third party ED sites would cause a CTD...not always immediately, but usually soon enough that I figured out it was RAM. haven't had a single crash since upgrading.
Mmmm not sure.I had this problem when I had 8 GB RAM - upgrading to 24 fixed it for me. That's not to say you're seeing the same problem.
Code gets rationalised. Essentially it's cutting down stuff that's not needed and only a burden to the game. Are "The Code" still a thing then?
Not seen a ranty thread about them for ages.
Thought they had been usurped a few times and "The Arx" was now the new "The Code" .
Yaaargh. So, do we have an accord?

I have 16GB memory, but only had problems since a wave of recent manufacturers' updates.
