Streetwise tips from friendly NPCs where to pick up missions matching found cargo

I was trying my hand at going out salvaging. Had a fair amount of luck.

I did have a thought, though, that friendly-factioned NPCs or broker ships might have some tips where to find the salvage-seeking missions matching what I've picked up.

Perhaps they'd even like to be paid. Perhaps they're even informants for the cops, or the meeting might be under police surveillance. ;)

They should talk to you more about everything. Where to find pirates, the weather, celebrity gossip, etc. Passing them in SC is like passing them on the sidewalk, there should be more that you can overhear.

When dropping into a USS/SSS and finding one or two innocent traders/whatever amongst several Wanted ships, it'd be nice if once in a while the traders sent a thank you comms message to me after I removed the potential threat to them. Similarly when in a RES and I assist a miner. It would make the NPCs appear more human.
.
When at a starport they could occasionally warn me about speeding ("Hey, those aren't 'go faster stripes' on your FdL you know. Slow down, you maniac!"). It could all add to the immersion.
.
There is a lot which could be done with the NPCs to help the game become better, both from passive interaction and active interaction (re game activities).
