Stressed animals

Having issues with animals getting stressed by something for a short time and then going back to normal, over and over.
I placed 2 way windows, made sure they everything they need, even made sure the speakers did not reach into the habitat.
So it would be nice if you mouse over the stress bar of an animal while they are stressed, to have a little pop up or something, telling you what caused them to stress.
Right now I can't fix it, because I have no clue what is stressing them out.

Use 1-way windows and put up "do not disturb" signs around the habitat, it helped for me. I think it's the noise and vision from the crowd.

And if you don't have that developed yet, give them a more secluded shelter (smaller entrance) and less windows for the public to look through.

Will give that a go in my next zoo. My current zoo has failed for some reason.
It was doing fine, but the animal food cost just doubled and I struggle to get guests into the zoo even with marketing.
And now I'm in the negative numbers, so can't build anything anymore.

Use habitat barriers that are opaque and check the height. Maybe the guests can look over the barrier - from a raised path, eg.
You can place down some large stones and bushes / trees in the habitat behind which the animals can hide. This helps especially to cover the entrance to the shelters
And to prevent guests from complaining about a bad view of the animals, place the food / water supplies and food enrichments right in front of the enclosure windows. Guests love to watch animals feed. If the guests are still too loud, you can place some "Do Not Disturb" signs in front of the viewing areas.

I had that with snow leopards. I left 2 sectors of the walls open for the public open, and the walls were 7M high. Later I developed one-way see through. So the visitors could see it again. These kittens pulled me out a negative financial spiral. When the animals have low welfare because of stress, you better act fast. When the protester come your zoo is doomed.

I think I may have saved my zoo.
took out all the loans, build those do not disturb signs what seems to work. haven't seen my bears stress out anymore. and also build a snow leopard habitat and it looks like I am making profit now, while I still need to pay back the 50K loan.

So thanks for those tips :)

That's great, I realize that I was making more money after I put in Bengal tiger. I think picking these high appealing animals like leopard, lions, tigers will greatly increase income, not surprisingly.
