Stressed flamingos seems to cause barriers to break?

Right so this is a weird one. I have a habitat where I have about 15 flamingos in and 3 pygmy hippos. Sometimes the flamingos get stressed due to to many guests either making noise or looking at them (trying ti fix it) but I noticed that each time an alert pops up with more than 3 flamingos being stressed, the barrier is suddenly in the red. If the flamingos stress then goes up in the green and they become happy, the barrier goes back up to green as well. I also notched that spite the mechanic showing up to fix it, and I see the barrier status increases it still suddenly breaks so the animals escapes. Yes I know that they disorientate over time, but he literary just repaired it when the barrier broke.
The game is on Hard difficulty with aging slowed to 2. Not sure it matters but figured I'll mention it.

Has anyone experienced something alike?

Could it be a coincidence? I play on Sandbox with all those options turned off (animal welfare, no barrier dilapidation, and so on) but I imagine in hard difficulty the barriers diminish a lot more quickly. If your animals are getting stresssed quickly as well, it might just be random happenstance that both events are occurring at the same time. The only thing I can think to suggest would be to put all your flamingos in the trade centre and see if the barrier still breaks.

It happens randomly, can happen soon after it just happened other times some time passes. However, I recently discovered (like as soon as I made this post) that my hippos where smashing the fence. So I have added in new ones, so now I am watching it see if it was because of the hippos or if there is something else as well.
I know the barrier shouldn't go in the red when the animals are stressed and then back to green when the animals are so yeah, hippo or not lol.
