Stripped Flatrides!?!

lilibat's excellent Witches' Tea Party rideskin for Tea Cups reminded me of something: I don't like the Teacups central Teapot stack. And with the ability to import our own scenery imminent, it occurred to me that something useful and not too labor-intensive for the devs would be stripped-down versions of some of the flatrides.

A Teacups with no central stack, no arches, bushes, etc, nothing but the teacups, spinning platform, and stairs up to it, and the flexi-color zones something simpler than the current art? Would be a nice blank canvas to design for!

Not every flatride's suitable for this since we won't be able to trick out any moving part of the ride. But does anybody else want this, for Teacups or some other rides?

Current Stripped Flatrides WishList from the topic is:

Teacups
Collider
Psychola
Bumpin' Derby
Victory / Blackout

I would love this. I am glad they have moved away from themed flats. I was so excited about getting an enterprise in game but hardly ever place it due to the space theme. Same with the brain drain ride.

Covering up all the arches and flag poles and flags is a giant PITA on teacups. Like I was swearing even more than usual on that part of the build. heh. I am ALL for this idea.

Thanks guys!

Ddef12, so you'd like stripped versions of the Collider and Psychola?

Agreeing on Collider, I've seen other posts on the forums asking for a theme-stripped version of that -- the first one I rode was called the Apple Turnover, not space-themed! And much as I enjoy the Bumpin' Derby's theming, I'd also liked a stripped down version with no roof other than the electrical grate, that'd be easier to skin for other themes. Updating the first post with a list -- anybody else have flat rides you'd like theme-stripped versions of?

I would love stripped back flat rides. It’s a real struggle sometimes to make things fit naturally without having to over theme in order to hide the existing theme.

Bumpin' Derby was also a PITA when I did it, though a bit less so.

A generic version of Blackout would be nice. I have never touched that one because what am I going to do with a space shuttle?

If I understand correctly, Blackout and Victory are different themed versions of the same ride -- agreeing with you, but what would a stripped-down version of this look like? Does anything like that exist "in the wild"?

A carnival-style Victory and Blackout would be great. Make a generic ship that you find at most traveling fairs; one with a bar and one with harness that could be switched in a drop-down menu similar to switching coaster types. So that way, one ship did the standard swing movement, while the other inverted similar to the Berserker at King's Dominion and Southern Star at Carowinds, and it wouldn't be a duplicate of the same ride.

Frontier don’t strip away the identity of rides. We need more decorations not less.
We're not asking for these instead of the original rides, but in addition to them -- like Weisshorn and Monte Leone. And more decoration is the point, decoration we can do ourselves.
