So, a mate and me are trying out the new wings function and 1.2, seeing how stuff fits together. His FSD is tethered to mine and we're just cruising along when I spot a strong signal source.
I tell my mate I'm going to drop in "What could go wrong? Your ASP is uber and I can hold my own in my clipper" and out of SC we drop. 4 tons of gold! That's it! 4 tons of gold. We're discussing it and commenting that neither one of us want to bother to pick it up.
"I don't get it, I thought SSS's were supposed to have lots of ships" I whine.
At that precise instance a mass of NPC's appear with the message "Wow! Never thought anyone for fall for it!" followed by "Get 'em"
I made it out with my hull down to 74%. True, I would probably have got out quicker if I hadn't been laughing so hard that voiceattack couldn't recognise my request to stow hard points.
Anyway... if you're going to a strong signal source, take plenty of friends, prepare for the unexpected and have a great time
