Strong suspicion that this game has a hacker problem

So,

I have a strong suspicion that this game has a hacker problem. I went to participate in the community goal this week for the first time in a long time. An going back two days ago and the mission board did not have a active community goal at the Lucent Embrace. It just ended yesterday so?? Can a moderator explain this to me. Know this game is a bit of a low level time waster for me I don't pay great attention to it all but I know how this used to work. Me not really being the Elite dangerous cop I said " meh maybe they changed the way this works" so I just sold commodities into the market place at a loss mind you. Apparently, after a few minutes of research today I found that the Community goal system did not change. So what happened I don't think this was a bug

Is Frontier even going to investigate it? Probably not! What I want to know from other players is when did the community goals end according to your in game experience. The other part of the game that just shut down was the commodity system attached to the galactic map. I looked for places that were exporting polymers on the galaxy map and spent a good 30 minutes looking for a star port that had some. All the sudden I am on today and I am seeing green triangles on the galaxy map again. This reeks of some one hacking. Or a really really really poor system of what data shows up on the galaxy map. Also what happened to buying trade data?

You should learn a bit more about the stellar forge and bgs before you start calling hacks
Yup - ED has a dynamic economy where price/stock levels will vary based on "at least" individual player activity. Too many people trade in certain goods in a certain area and price/stock levels will be affected, if they stop trading (or at least reduce trading activity) then the price/stock levels will shift in the opposite direction (time for it to normalise is atleast a bit uncertain).

When a trading Community Goal is on, then stock levels in the community goal related goods are typically more depleted than at other times and after completion it may take a few days for things to settle back to a notional pre-CG equilibrium.

How amazing no one has directly answered my question about when the community goal ended.

When did the community goal complete?

I don't need to learn anything I said the community goal system did not work like it is supposed to. Now the commodity market could be crappy design sure but it still didn't work right did it. Still sounds like some one has a problem to look into.

You want information on the period of performance for Community Goals in general? I suggest you check out INARA: https://inara.cz/galaxy-communitygoals/.

Ended on the 22nd I was playing on the 21'st clicked on missions clicked on community goal said only no community goals at this time. Hell I think I was on during the 20th too. some thing is not right in paradise that's all I am saying. You know what really makes me think that its hacks. Out of no where a fed pilot came and trash talked me while I was on the Lucent's pad. How the heck did he know I was there. And there is a whole thread going on right now about how Crapy PVP is because people hid in private. I still call HACKS. don't act like it does not happen.

You very clearly dont understand how the stellar forge and bgs work, solely based on that video

Perhaps you should generate a bug report - or at least check for an existing one - before calling hack.
Greetings Commanders!

We are now excited to launch our new Issue Tracker! The Issue Tracker replaces our Bug Reporting forums and can be accessed here:

https://issues.frontierstore.net/

To report a bug simply log in with your regular Frontier account and click 'Submit Report'. You'll then be given all the steps you need to let us know about any issues you have experienced.

On this site you can:
  • Submit issues
  • Follow the status of your reports
  • See which issues have been reported by others
  • Vote on which issues matter most to you
  • Search for specific reports
  • Help contribute towards existing issues
With the launch of our new Issue Tracker the Bug Reporting forums will now be archived and all reports will now use the Issue Tracker.

Thank you for all your support so far and for helping raise awareness of the issues that are affecting your gameplay!
As for the commodity market is what it is, it is at least partly a supply-and-demand model. Some are bound to get upset if they make a loss due to missed opportunities but blaming hacking for it is a bit of a new one.

one you couldn't have watched the video in that time period 2 you have no idea about my depth of knowledge of the stellar forge. An three what difference does it make to you Forge MAFIA what you appreciate it so much your the only one allowed to have an opinion about how it should work? hmm.

Common keyboard cowboy, tell me how superior you are.

I have generated bug reports many times before I am not wasting my time anymore and I am not designing the game for them that's frontiers job.

It ended when the Feds won on Friday. Even if you aren't mistaken, an issue with the mission server would make far more sense than a hack.

I would imagine that CMDR either saw you drop into the megaship instance, or was actively patrolling it, and noticed that someone was around. Your CMDR is not invisible when on a landing pad or in a hangar.

No one is claiming hacks don't exist, but they are totally unnecessary for anything you claim to have seen.

By your own admission, you do not know how this game is supposed to work, and thus have zero cause to assume what you've experienced is the result of a hack.

I'm calling HACKS

I think you should read about the stellar forge and how systems arent kept on server but generated from the system name every time you jump in

As end-users we have a responsibility to "properly" report any issues we encounter if we actually want them fixed, developers can not fix things without full details of the circumstances encountered. Even then it will take time for them to investigate the root cause(s) of any reported issues and process the necessary changes through the appropriate change management system(s).

Reporting bugs is not designing a product, and there are right and wrong ways to do this.

This particular sub-forum is not really for bug reporting, that is what the Issue Tracker is for. I believe FD intended this sub-forum for constructive suggestions, while your opening post reads like something more appropriate for the main discussion forum.

Can someone explain to me what the OP is upset about? Is it the CG finished and he didn't know? Is it that the OP doesn't know the duration or start/end times of the CG? Who is he accusing of hacking, is it a player, or FD?

I have developed a headache just trying to work out what the problem is!

Essentially, it seems to be a mix of issues.
  1. They missed the community goal - possibly because of a bug (maybe not)
  2. They did not like the fact they made a loss on a trade because of the state of the economy at the time due to the ripple effects of the community goal
  3. They also seem to think that hackers are responsible for the above

What are you talking about Ive watched a 2 hour video on how the lead designer server stacks the forge so stop putting words in my mouth. I don't know every line of code I but I get the big picture. An I am still calling Hacks these are very convenient bugs. especially If you were flying for the feds this week.

The issue Is I flew into the lucent embrace two days ago and the community goal was not present on the mission board. They say bug I think HACKS! That is really the whole conversation.
