Stronger together

eddb.io lists about 19,500 inhabited systems.

That gives us a number to plug into Dav's slice of the pie from the BGS stream:

So that means about about 300 systems have been flipped to Alliance.

The Empire have lost about 150 systems.
The Feds have lost about 450 systems.
Independents have gained about 310 systems.

Player actions have changed the governments of 7400 systems.

Anyone got more reliable numbers?

Shout outs to all the amazing CMDRs and player groups of the Alliance!

To me, the most interesting thing in all this is how small the Alliance is.
Any outsider looking at these charts would never think the Alliance is a superpower.

It's difficult to judge the reliability and the 'up to dateness' of eddb.io, but with the new player journal logs, more CMDRS could simple use tools like EDMC to improve the data included in eddb.io.

According to eddb.io, 551 systems are Alliance aligned (2.7% of all populated systems), a few more than FDev is reporting above.

Amazing that there are people who still don't believe players can affect the galaxy or each other's experiences.

To be fair, most complaints thats been around this issue is not about if you can change anything or not, but rather the effect of that change.

And the effects of these changes in ED is hardly noticable even in the system itself.

"Stronger Together"

-OR-

"None of us is as dumb as all of us"

It's not "Stronger Together"
It's "STONGER Together"

STONGER
As in an Old German word meaning powerfully built.

That's if you take the view that winning a station should be something you can use - instead of the goal itself.
You don't "own the station" so you can do something else (although there ARE things you can do with stations you own).
You own the station because you have done the work. - It's the reward.

So the Alliance have more than doubled their share of the pie, and in about 30 years from now the galaxy will be 92% Independents and 8% Alliance. So much for grinding Empire and Federation rank.

Rise up Empire! Take back what is rightfully yours (and that means "IT ALL! Take the lot!). Sorry, forgot where I was, it's ED, no wars allowed on grand scale! ;)

If only Powerplay wasn't such a convoluted, inaccessible mess....

Isn't this more indicative of a lack of interest in Powerplay, rather than the organisational might of the small number of CMDRs with an actual interest in playing Powerplay properly?

I considered giving PP another go recently. When I went looking on the PP subsection, it was a ghost town. Is there anyone actually playing it anymore other than the Mahon group?

"STONGER Together" eh? Does the alien leader have bright orange skin and a small light coloured furry animal living on it's head all the time?

All very deja vu this.... ;)

1) Not talking PowerPlay. Talking Allegiances.
2) Mahon does not 'float' to the top. It's a slog.
3) The numbers at the start are about BGS manipulation.

Most of the groups have their own discords where they co-ordinate things now.

What makes me sad with that BGS erosion is that even those few historical lore systems are falling. As an example, the permit-locked Van Maanen's Star system, supposedly the theocratic isolationist enclave of the Church of Man/Sublime Order of VMS, is now just another collectivist economy system run by Hutton Truckers... There was already little lore flavour around, and even that little is falling as a collateral victim of the BGS craze.
