Stronghold Systems - Threat of attack query

Hi all, I've tried to look but not seen anyone frame the following question so here goes.

From what I've heard so far, Stronghold systems held by other powers (other than your pledged power) are the systems that you are likely to be attacked the most by NPC's. My question is does this extend to the starports themselves (i.e. if you went to an opposition power's stronghold system and got near a starport, would it attack you automatically?)

Would be useful to have this clarification.

The starport itself certainly doesn't attack (unless you commit a bounty-level offence where it can see you, of course!) unless it's a Stronghold Carrier.

I've not noticed much in the way of hostility from NPCs either even in Strongholds - though my current activity hasn't taken me to them all that often.

On a related note some of the Engineers are in PP Stronghold systems.

I expect many of the other engineer systems to become Strongholds in the upcoming weeks. A new reason to do engineering in Solo.
