Struck without sensors - help please!

Hi all - I've been a fire fight and my sensors are 0%. I can't dock because I can't select the space station to request docking, so what is my best option please?

This has happened to me and no, with sensors damaged to this extent, nothing will show in the contacts panel. Just reboot and repair and that should fix it. It will cause damage to other systems because it is doing an emergency bypass to get the sensors up and running, but once you dock, that can all be repaired properly by the professionals in the shop.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
I did the reboot thing once while being attacked by some NPCs. Great fun. :)

Yup, without working sensors your ship cannot 'see' where it is going. This happened to me a long time back (before the 'Reboot/Repair' function was added), and all I could do was Self Destruct. Now you have Reboot/Repair use it (be careful, it is one up from Self Destruct!), wait a short while, and then head in and get a full repair done.

Thanks all. I've no idea what the reboot/repair thing is if you can explain?
In the right hand window I can go to the sensors which show 0%. There are two things I can select under that; on the left it says "INACTIVE" which has a square with a line through it, and on the right is has "REPAIR" which is in red and again has a square with a line through it.

Read the second post carefully

Under functions tab there is repair/reboot at the bottom.

Drop into normal space. Call up the Status page (key 4). Move across to the FUNCTIONS tab. Scroll ALL the way down to the bottom, and then up 1 line (the bottom option is "Self Destruct" (don't press it!!!)), to Reboot/Repair. Make sure that is highlighted, and then click on it. Everything on your ship will shut down (so you will go onto Emergency Life Support), and then slowly boot up, while evaluating the systems. It will scavenge 2% from a functional system to repair 1% of the Sensor Suite (that is all that Reboot/Repair can do, 1% only per 'destroyed' system), which is enough to allow you to get to a Station with Repair facilities.

I remember when we couldn't reboot to repair, and shooting out someone's sensors in a PvP fight then letting them live was quite possibly one of the most evil things you could do, because all you could do was self destruct to fix it....

"I survived, now to get back to the station and repair!"

*In Supercruise*

"I can't believe I got away from him that was awesome, my hands are still shaking..."

*Pops out at the station and requests docking, reality sinks in."

"That dirty son of a....."

Wow I had no idea that could be done, thanks very much all - I managed to get docked and repaired.

Unfortunately all this for 8,000 credits reward. I properly suck a this (and I've been around since the alpha/beta versions). Still in the Cobra with no more than 1.5 mil credits to my name, stumbling between stars taking missions.
