Struggling.

I don't know what kind of funds you have. I suggest doing rares or slave trading. Here is my rare route:

Trade out 1 class 4 cargo rack for a fuel scoop to do rares.

Thanks very much for this :)

I also love the vulture such a wonderful ship and a pure pleasure to fly!!!!! What i do is when i get tired of the grind i always keep a cobra speced out for pirating. Lots of fun and breaks up the grind (you can pirate NPCs if you dont want to hit up real comms.) Just go to a system whos government is anarchy and go ham you dont acquire any bounty either. Not the most profitable but fun!

That's why I LOVE the Vulture, I used to shy away from bigger ships in a wing but now I find it to be fun to change my tactics up to avoid taking a lot of damage.

Shields go down? The only thing I start to worry about when that happens is losing my canopy. my HRPs are more than enough to keep in the fight until shield come back up.

I find using chaff against an NPC is almost impossible, their aim is way too good. Instead, I just use some Shield Boosters. Saving power one step at a time :)

conflict zones can be fun https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzsYbWzxcA8

but be careful https://youtu.be/fW91ADE6Dz0

(*) Is systems where you should sell all rares? Interesting Ozy, will visit.

Yes, the asterisk denotes sales of all rares. You sell regular commodities each stop. Grab rares, then top off on regular commidities. Go to next station, sell regulars, etc...

Well just got interview and blown up for my cargo, couldn't frame shift out due to disruptive mass???

Three hours down the drain.

I give up.

Here is a tip. When being Interdicted by a ship bigger than you do not attempt to frame shift back to supercruise (low wake). Instead open up your nav panel (Hold X + left on dpad) select a random star system within your jump range. Frame shift to Hyperspace, jumping to the selected system. (High Wake). High waking is not effected by ship mass. I hope this helps.

Post Script: Submit to interdictions to get a quicker frame shift cooldown. It will greatly increase your chance of escaping alive.

What ship are you in?

And was it cargo you bought, or was it a mission from the bulletin board?

Interdictions are something that happen regardless of what ship you're in, but there are things you can do to minimise your chances of being blown up. Here's a few:
Get the best shield you can, plus a shield booster or two on your utility slots.
Rather than try to fight the interdiction, zero the throttle to submit as this means your FSD cooldown will be a lot quicker. Then boost away and high-wake into another system rather than just going into Supercruise in the same system (as if you remain in the same system, you will get interdicted again by the same person 99% of the time).
Also, if you were interdicted and destroyed by a human player, try playing in solo for a while.

The disruptive mass thing means the ship which you were interdicted by was bigger than you. For some reason, this has an effect on your FSD which increases the time it takes to charge. This can be lessened by putting all pips to engines and boosting away as the further away you are the less the effect of the disruptive mass. This also means upgrading your thrusters if you can will help.

This game is difficult, brutal even at the outset. But it does get better.

Was in a type 7 fully loaded with cargo.

Cheers for the tip about wakes. Never knew that.

The Type-7 is notoriously slow and very difficult to shake aggressors in. You can't haul anywhere near as much in it, but for slightly more the cost of just the Type-7 you could outfit an Asp Explorer to take 108T of Cargo (slightly more if you don't need a fuel scoop). With this, you will be able to defend against single attackers, or boost away from those where you really don't want to fight. You won't make money as quickly as in the T7, but you will be far less vulnerable.

Have a look at this build:

Total build cost is just under 20m.

You will also be able to land out outposts if you want to missions.

Hey.

Been playing over a month and really struggling to enjoy the game. I've followed a few YouTube videos and got myself into a vulture and trying to make credits.

Currently in high res site bounty hunting but it's slow and ponderous to be honest.

Suck at missions as if it a lone ship I'm fine but when they're in a wing I'm history lol. Plus the pay is not good

Might try trading next but don't know where to start.

Suggestions please?

Thanks in advance.
