Stuck at Pro Treia AC-D d12-1

That's no new formation. They already exist since around 1 1/2 years and are called the Rock Rats. I HAVE to say that. I'm one of them!!

We even have a book fercryingoutloud:

Only just seen this as I have been building a new system and then testing it - brilliant to read of these exploits again reps to all :D
Having watched Frawd and GrassHopper scooping without shields I remain in awe [yesnod]
Almost worth getting 'stuck' to see the community rally round ... not really suggesting it though

@Anuranium

Is there an offline version of your "life stream" of our rescue action?

Karaya

Unfortunately no. I have no idea how to save such clips to twitch, and in my incompetent mind I didn't think of it at that time. Nor didn't I record on my own computer :(

However I can describe it in rough terms for the rest of you to imagine it: 2 hours of battling the instance gods and a bit of mining. Highlight of the session was when Chiggy found Vanadium and we all got excited and yelled "VANADIUM" and prematurely celebrated. Then he (The Faxe) had some trouble scooping up the materials and sadly it vanished, upon which we mined until we found vanadium once more. The Faxe scooped it up with ease and we sprinted on to the next ring to get Germanium. Chiggy was lost to the instance-beast and was never seen again in physical form (but he was with us in spirit).
We then found germanium with relative ease, which The Faxe scooped up once more.

30 minutes ensued with us discussing what the best route would be for The Faxe to take down to safety. We decided on a route already scouted by Karaya1 (look at page 3 in this thread), and after some synthezising and neutron-star boosting, The Faxe was again down where the stars were a bit more densely populated, and there was much rejoicing.

There... not the same as looking at 2 hours of footage, I know, but pretty accurately sums up the whole event :)

Nice story @Anuranium.

I can add to the Germanium part:

Just having liberated it from the asteroid with the help of my six mining lasers I was about to call out "Germanium" when somebody else already had spotted it and did the call.
I winged with The Faxe so he could target it easier and moments later he came rushing in, having a good and close look at the wanted object when he zoomed past (ASPs don't have the best of breaking performance).
Coming around he even did a full orbit around the asteroid aligning with the object exactly where I was - well, was five seconds ago.
Closing in on the Germanium he gave it a little nudge for good measures before he realigned and scouped it up.
Sigh - that was fun.
