Today I deleted my previous commander to make a fresh start and when entering the tutorial I hear "Make yourself comfortable while we finish some preliminary ship checks" or something like that. But after that I dont receive any further indications and when using (spacebar) to auto-launch the game doesnt do anything. I can only cycle trough the ship menues and thats it.
Stuck at start of tutorial.

Hi!. Yes, the tutorial is screwed in the way You've described - after first comm message just sitting in cockpit and nothing happens. Yesterday I've started the tutorial and it was all fine, but interrupted it to restart it today. Probably an updated downloaded by steam today morning messed it all up. I'm so mad because I've just bought and finished setup of hotas and vr goggles... If anyone knows solution for this situation please provide. Tried to reset all game settings and event re-download it again - none helps.
I just reset and it does seem b0rked. I chose 'Skip Tutorial' and it continued ok.
(It's also broken when you can go back to the Tutorial from the right panel under Training)

)Hello, no I dont think so. I watched a video of the tutorial in YouTube and its nothing like what happens in my game. Searching the internet I have just now found several people with the same problem than me and in recent days. So maybe it is a new bug or something.

I have the same issue. Started playing today. At least I tried to start playing today...
Seems they are brexiting the continent. Only rotating ship during game start. After several tries I switched to a UK server ( you need a vpn ). Then the game would start.
If that is the treatment they give to in my opinion high severity bugs like this one...
It was only introduced (probably) today. And patches typically take days to come out. They might turn it around faster, but I was just trying to set expectations.
I imagine it will be sorted reasonable quickly as it's pretty annoying, and first impressions matter. But hey, fdev move in mysterious ways
Just saying 'me too'. On Epic Games, connecting from the US - so it's not just a Europe/Steam issue. What a shocking first impression for the game, hope they fix this soon. Until then, I guess I'll resume NOT playing Elite: Dangerous...

Just to add that this issue https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/22704 is now open for voting, so you should probably up-vote it if you want the beginners tutorial fixed.
