Stuck fast

I've submitted a support ticket but, in the meantime, I was wondering if there's anything else I can try.
  • Took off from Dav's Hope
  • Climbed far enough to enter SC and engaged it
  • SC didn't complete
  • Orange sidewinder
I have tried:
  • Quiting the game by forcing a stop via task manager
  • Rebooting the game and the launcher
  • Rebooting the PC
Now I'm stuck in space above the planet.
  • The thrusters are inactive but won't reactivate
  • The ship will not accelerate, pitch, yaw or otherwise steer
  • Panels such as nav and right-hand all activate
  • SC will not engage
  • Gal and sysmas work

Very strange...

I did try a ship reboot but the reboot doesn't actually activate. All modules except thrusters are active.

Just having a spot of lunch and a Latvian brandy then I'll be back at the helm...

Something similar happened to me. I ended up upside down INSIDE the planet. I ended up having to Thrust up, even though i was upside down, then that seemed to fix it for me. Was the wierdest manouver i have ever had to make!?!?!

It sounds like it thinks you're still landed - can you "take off" to reactivate the thrusters?

Yes, press and hold the up key as if you were landed, I have had this in the past long ago logging out on small bodies. The other option is to log to non-horizons which should de-activate the landing functions.

Ok didn't read to the end, well done!

Now the question is - could you have gone to the SRV?

The answer is, yes you can! I was once stuck around 24km above the surface in the same way, so naturally being of a scientific bent I tested to see if I could launch the SRV, which proceeded to plummet towards the ground with me in it! The ship seems to thinks it's landed, but the SRV doesn't!

I knew it, I had a picture somewhere of me stuck;
