stuck in a system and cannot jump back due to .6 ton limit

hey i am stuck in a system and cannot jump back to the system i came from. i refuelled and everything and it says the jump back exceeds .6 ton drive fuel jump limit. does anyone have any suggestions as how to fix this? i have no idea and i cant jump anywhere else - nothing is within range.

- if you are in a viper, sell this sad thing and buy a decent ship
- if your cargo is full, sell it
- if that does not work, it means that you have more fuel than when you went it, you will have to sell your weapons to compensate
- seriously tho, go buy a Cobra man

im in the starter ship
no cargo
only swapped 1 weapon
full fuel

how do you get money quickly when just starting? i find this game really interesting but its incredibly confusing for somoene just starting out

This tripped has me up in a Sidey before, if you hopped multiple systems to get there it's probably fuel weight, which doe's affect how far you can jump.

Short of flying arround for an hour and burning some fuel, your only option is to sell of a couple of componants - My advise is to start with the discovery scanner, then check your navigation pane, keep going till you can jump out.

Optionally you can always self destruct and start back in your starting system with the free Sidewinder.

here is the most effective way to easier your starting game:

- sell weapons, utilities, discovey thing, sell everything you can sell
- add as many cargo rack as you can
- in stations, in the bulletin board, do transport mission, they pay well, you just have to get from point A to B
- do not use your money on anything else than cargo rack, until you can afford a hauler around 45k
- then do again the exast same thing, sell everything, buy cargo rack, do transport missions

after few hours you will have money, if you really want to enjoy the game now this is what i suggest:

- you will need around 390k
- Buy a Cobra

GG ! now nothing will stop you, you have the best ship till a very, very long time

Self destruct. Time is money. ;-)

1) The Viper is an animal at fighting once kitted out, I've took down Anaconda's in that badboy, you leave it alone you bully, only thing that holds it back is the fuel storage, nifty little pirate/bounty hunter ship that one :D

2) Good point

3) Another solid point

4) If he could afford a cobra he wouldn't be stuck in a single system ;)

so sell eveyrthing and trade a lot?

If you are in a starter sidewinder and are not familiar with combat yet, I would recommend taking station missions. I do believe you can upgrade the Sidewinder to 8 cargo hold if you replace your shields with a 4 cargo slot. That is if you are not interested in combat and wish to avoid it, but be warned the sidewinders armour is like paper. Some station missions can pay out 10k plus for as little as transporting 4-6 cargo (high value cargo). Or on the other hand, if you want to gear up for a more combat orientated role, keep your stock lasers and buy a shield bank cell when you have the cash (recharges shields when low, does not repair them if they go though!), and take a dabble at bounty hunting.

If you attempt bounty hunting at nav points etc try and avoid the bigger targets no matter how tempting their bounty is (10k plus). Stick to Eagles etc who pay out on average 1-2 k a kill, when you perfect your fighting abiliters more try and up the ante for the 5kish bounties, the sidewinders hull though cannot take a beating, bigger ships will rip you apart like a paper shredder. kill about 20 bounties averging this price and you can go and get your first paid for ship ;) Save up a bit more an get a hauler and upgrade the cargo space, and start your road on trading if you like!

I personally took the bounty hunter/pirate route, was slower then trading but a lot more fun (trading bores me unfortunately).
