Stuck in a system with 3 Black Holes

One thing that annoys me greatly is that after any jump you spawn right in front of the start running full speed into it. I bet with black holes that would push you past the event horizon very quickly. I so miss the way of old elites when you got spawned far away from the star at the edge of the system.

Was SO much better in previous games, spawning slap bang next to a star is a horrible, game-killing experience. Flying to stars used to be interesting and fun in previous games. A mission or mini-adventure in its own right. Getting that close - scooping fuel, especially - was something a bit special and daring.

All thrown away at the wayside to pander to today's ADHD generation. The people saying "all you need to do is close the throttle when jumping" simply don't get it.. Ironic how more than a few of them are the same ones decrying autopilot for SC.. perish the thought that they'd actually want to make any effort to manually fly to a star rather than having it automatically served up in their faces at 15x lightspeed.

Every freaking jump, bang - star slammed in yer face. Thwump; have another one. Again and again, the same thing over and over. I'd give my joystick for the serenity of a majestic open expanse at the end of my worm hole. Or even my flight stick. Or if we HAVE to have major bodies shoved up our noses every single jump, why not mix it up with some nice picturesque planets? But no, we get: jump; thwack! STAR.. IN YOUR FACE, every godforsaken time. Yawn.. oh wow another star, thanks FD what a majestic and thoughtfully selected welcoming mat to wipe our weary feet on. Excuse me if i just turn 180° and immediately scoot off at 200C only i need to go and TRY to enjoy some spaceflight, if it's all the same to you..

I have no previous experience with Elite games, but I imagine entering a system at the edge, while majestic wouldn't be as much of a thrill. There's a certain amount of joy to be taken from the game requiring an immediate reaction the moment you finish with a loading screen.

Your complaint about being slammed face-first into a star becoming boring can be levied equally against entering the system from far enough away to never be at any risk. Though I think a compromise of some sort would be best. Every shift ending slightly differently, depending on what was in the system and even what direction you came from would solve the issue of the act becoming boring.
