Stuck in Neritus System.

I have been traveling fine for weeks now. I jump into this system, goto the station, now I am trying to get out. Everything shows as no route available. Even things that are 5LY away. Every jump is now stating fuel threshold exceeded. Never had this issues before! Thanks.

I have not changed anything on my ship. I have refueled. I was looking at the outfitting of my ship and my jump range for the unladen ship is 4.25 LY. Does that seem off?

Thanks!

Which ship with what other equipment?

While not official, the ED Shipyard is an excellent place to see what equipment will do to the performance of a ship.

That's why even 5ly is too far.
It is indeed weird that you could get there but are now stuck. If you can, get a better Frame Shift Drive in the Outfitting screen. 4.25ly is a very low jump range, you would need to upgrade soon anyway. Hope that helps!

Try buying better FSD in the system if you can. If you can't, ditch some modules you don't really need to fly. Weapons, cargo, shields, anything goes. ;) You'll rebuy them easily.

I couldn't jump out of a system because I had 3 tonnes of cargo. I didn't want to fail my mission, so I started selling modules until I could jump out. :)

One possibility is that with a depleted fuel load you may be able to make the jump - however that will require running around in super-cruise for quite a while to burn off the excess....

I think I got this error when I plotted a route in galaxy map but then changed something on my ship via outfitters...so route plotted was no longer good etc.......if I remember right simply replotting my route fixed the problem otherwise like others have said use the EDshipyard and show us what you got equipped also maybe take a look see if you turned anything off in modules?

Sell some modules you don't currently need to increase jump range, they don't lose value, no money lost.
Or up/down grade to D modules, those are the lightest.
Maybe you can downgrade to a smaller fuel tank to shed some fuel to increase range, otherwise you have to sit in super cruise and wait for it to burn off :/
Buying a better FSD is the best solution but might not be available / too expensive?

Found out I must have replaced my FSD drive. I should have a range of at least 10ly. Now problem is only two stations sell FSD drives, and none of the items for sale have a range longer then 5 LY, and my old drive does not show up to buy back. The closest other system is 8LY away. Any ideas??

Thanks!

Can you buy a sidewinder in the system? You might have to sell all your modules and your ship then commit suicide and take the option to respawn at LHS 1447 or whatever the starter system is called.

If you replaced your FSD and then launched it could've been removed from by back list.

Sell your weapons and cargo racks first, and downgrade shield to d class

That should give you the range you need.

You could potentially buy a ship with the FSD you need (or one better than you have) fitted as standard, sell the FSD (downgrade), sell the new ship and then buy back the FSD for your original ship. Lot of requirement there of course (shipyard, right ships on sale, enough Cr), but thought I'd throw it in.

THIS ^^^^ , if you have undocked and lost your original FSD and can't sell off enough gear to make any jumps , have enough credits , the above is the best way to do it.

If a ship with the needed FSD isn't in the current station , buy a sidewinder , goto a station that sells one , buy it there , sell the sidey and jump back to your original station...THEN sell the FSD , switch ships and buy back the new FSD ...then sell your 'temporary' ship afterwards...

I really do hope you have enough credits though.
