Stuck in Neutron Star, help needed

Hey folks,

I've just been on a two week tourist mission to a Black Hole, 20,000 light years from Sirius. I've collected a huge amount of Scan Data on the way.

As I was making my final jump, of almost 3,000 jumps in total, I was at a neutron star charging a boost. I entered the neutron star arm but was interdicted by an NPC. This threw me out of Hyperspace and I'm stuck with all systems overloading.

In an effort to try to save myself I've simply turned off console, not ideal I know but hopefully somebody can suggest a way out of the neutron star that I can try when I log in again.

Help me Commanders, you're my only hope.

How close were you in the exclusion zone?
Do you have a heat sink launcher?
What ship are you in?

If you're in something cool, like a DBX, you can probably log in, power down any non-essential modules (to reduce heat more), let your ship cool down, reboot/repair if thrusters or FSD is damaged. Then activate thrusters + FSD + scanners, target the neutron, then position it directly behind you.
Move to full thrust and make an in-system jump (faster less heat), and move away. Cool down again, then continue your journey.

If you're in something hot, and have heat sinks, then log in, launch one if hot - then follow the steps above, but launch a heat sink as you charge FSD if heating bad, and possibly another once you enter SC.

If you're inside an "arm" you want to move perpendicular away, and do it fast due to heat.

If you are in something hot, right in the EZ, and no launcher... well... do you have rebuy?

I've managed to get myself out recently, don't want to give you advice that may send you to the insurance screen. Wouldn't normally say it, contact support asap. I think everyone should at least have 1 get out of jail free card in your kinda situation, it's just a game.

All I did was boost align with the escape vector whilst dumping heatsinks, eventually it locked on. Took severe damage, this was in the bubble thankfully, the ships internals were wrecked when I got out.

The contact support kind of answer isn't the fun one. What are you going to tell your grandchildren?

But if you know for sure you won't be able to get out (super overheat or you're in a neutron star arm) then yeah, there's no other way out.
