Stuck in Planets Atmosphere - Can't land or escape (PS4)

Possibly stating the obvious but are you going into supercruise and aligning with the escape trajectory (90 degrees - straight up) in order to engage?
Failing that, plot a route where the star system is visible from the side of the planet you are on and just hyperspace jump from the atmosphere. As long as you’re high enough up to not be mass locked that should work fine too.

Yous houldnt be able to land on planets with athmosphere. If you have a mission for the same planet and there is landablebase that means th aplanet is without atmosphere. It might be the gravity of the planet where you are stuck. if you want to escape the planet you need to align with the escape vector when starting the supercruise.

Can you post a YouTube video so we can see what your problem is, and what you may be trying to do to get out of it?
You should not be getting missions to deliver cargo to planets with atmospheres just yet. If you anyway ended up trying to get to the surface of a planet with an atmosphere, you might have hit the Body Exclusion Zone. Only thing to do then is to point the nose of your ship straight up, and keep flying until Mass Lock turns off again. Then you can escape.
