Stuck on a DSSA fleet carrier

Hi,

I jumped on one of the DSSA fleet carriers and it took me to its final destination. Wasn't really thinking too much about it. Got a ship with decent exploration outfitting. My jump range however is just about 25ly ... and on the map it estimates 1500 jumps to get back to Sol. Any advice what can I do to go back home. I want back at Sol.

Well do you enjoy mining? You could be an imp slave for a carrier owner bringing enough tritum to cover the jump back and forth ;-)

There may be cheap ships to buy in the FCs shipyard.
Buy on, store your main ship.

If it 'happens' that you get destroyed somehow in that cheap ship, you can choose to respawn in a starter sidewinder in the Bubble.
But you have to transfer your main ship back, which will cost you some millions...

My advice, fly it back. It would make a heck of a travel log, and I gar-um-darn-tee-you you'll make bank if you explore along those 1,500 jumps. The added plus is you'll know all the tricks of the trade by the time you see Sol roll up on your cockpit glass. Just make sure you have a surface scanner. You'll be able to buy whatever you want (save a carrier) when you get home.

This. I did some calculation on one of my exploration tours and came up with that I earned apporx 2.5 mil on each jump (obviously including scanning the system). So 1500 jumps could net somewhere around 3.75 billion credits.

This is the most profitable and interesting option. Fly back, map any Earth-likes, Ammonia Worlds, Water Worlds and Terraformable Planets if you can and you will make an absolute fortune and most likely make some interesting discoveries. If you get bored, take a de-tour to a nearby nebula, find some volcanism on a planet or canyons to race in.

Depending on where the carrier is deployed, you could probably make your way to to the Colonia Connection Highway and catch a ride back on a fleet carrier from there.
