Stuck staff...

Is the default state for a worker to go on break as soon as they are hired? All of them? There were plenty of litter to sweep and bins to empty.

I've noticed it happen sometimes; I'll hire, say, a ride attendant, and then they just go on break a short time later. I think the game automatically assigns break times when staff are auto-hired, and it stands to reason that some will have break times within their first in-game-hour or two on the job. But I think what's happening in your vid is a genuine bug, probably related to the staff room that's right there next to them. And, maybe they're all being assigned the same break time, I don't know, but again, I think it's gotta be a bug.

They all just went to this spot and have now been standing there like this for over an hour. I place down a new janitor in this area, first thing he does is to join this party.
same here. i have some spots in my park where they gather and get stuck or they just get stuck at random widen open paths. has been happening to me atleast since release

It must be a bug. THe game mechanics can't be that when you hire someone, they will go on break immediately. I, and I am guessing most others, are hiring at mass and not one janitor here, and then wait 10 minutes, and hire another one there etc. That would be incredible idiotic to manage.
 
so ive just came back from a weekend at europa park, realy inspired and ready to go again in my park. start up the game, load up my park and guess what...

atleast 4 janitors and one ride operator simply standing there and not doing anything. just casually beeing stuck there. and please dont come tell me to place my picnic tables differently, the game should be programmed so that they avoid walking into those and getting stuck there. its not my job to space out everything just so staff doesnt get stuck there. and it doesnt alway happen at such tables or barriers. it can realy be the most random places
 
Of course it was. What would we have done without the flume deformation? The game would have been unplayable without the correct deformation...
 
These peep /staff AI issue combined with the appalling UI and terrible looking log flumes / rapids just drain my enthusiasm for this game at times.

I really want to enjoy PC2 but there's still so many glitches at present.

So my question just to understand this: What is the staff doing? (don't go just standing there, click it and check their tasks.)
How many staffbuildings do you have? The AI seems to bit vulnerable, when they can't take a break, cause they can't find an empty staffbuilding.
What happens when you move them? Normally when you move a staff it changes it's task.
What happens when you fire them? Do they leave or still in idle position?

btw theres no barriers beneath or inside that planter there. they clearly are trying to do their work as it says so in the task window. however for random reasons they get stuck in the most normal spots. wide open paths around him. i also see this happen a lot now with guests too. just opened my park again and after 30 minutes or more i start noticing guests with all needs in red. they also are getting stuck at the most random spots where nothing is blocking them.
 
feels like playing "where is waldo" or hide and seek...

oh and because notifications have bugged out to for some reason i dont even receive any info when a staff member misses his break, which was the only indicator to help find those staff members stuck :/
 
I was initially happy after Update 3, I only had time for a quick hour to try out stuff quickly. Now I've played a lot more time on Update 3, it's annoying that I'm going to be spending more time capturing footage and raising bug tickets. Still some bugs that have been around since launch too.

  • Guests getting trapped in rides
  • Staff turning up to start a shift, and not being able to enter the shop or stall because that staff is from another zone.
  • Placing a new ride down and the mechanic turns up straight away to service it, then gets in a loop of servicing it over and over until I manually move the mechanic to a different area of the park.
  • Ride operator has decided to quit and can't be removed or deleted from the ride in question.
  • edit: Forgot to add the sped up music for the Custom Audio I've put in.

I've logged in this morning to start logging these bugs and now I can't seem to raise any new fault tickets on Frontier Support (Red Banner at the top seems to suggest they are inundated), neither does there seem to be any record of the ticket I raised previously.

The funny thing is most of the bugs i encountered pre-Update 1 and i felt they were fixed, cause after that it was smooth sailing for me. It seems funny that reintroduced some bugs apparently
