Stuck while exiting into glide mode

Got stuck while exiting from orbital cruise into glide mode.
I see the animation and can look around in the cockpit but nothing happened for at least ten minutes now.
ESC to menu and alt-f4 doesn't work.
Is it safe to kill the task/proces without the risk of loosing the ship?

Yes, it should be safe. You'll respawn somewhere near the planet. If not, ticket it and you'll be put back in the position you were.

Sounds network related. Before you kill the task, do ctrl+b and see what's being shunted around.

Ten minutes? I just had a four minute pause before going into glide. This was at avery busy engineers base in Open. Instancing problems I guess.

I have been kicked from game during the pause to jump before. Ship was safe afterwards. I don't think you'd have any problems if you quit. The popularity of combat logging seems to suggest that killing the process is safe.

Heh, was browsing the forums so not really in a hurry :)
It was indeed a bit busy over there but have seen more traffic earlier today.
Oh well. everything is fine again.
