Stuck with almost no fuel and wanted everywhere?

Up in the empire bounty hunting in my vette. Playing with the HCS voice pack and admittedly distracted when it didn't properly deploy my fighter. I am looking around in my menu while getting attacked by the target, tryin to get the HCS to work right. The feds swarmed in, and I accidently shot one that jumped between me and the target while firing and locked on the target? WTH? Which turned the other eight feds red. [mad]
Got my bounty as I was being gang banged, thank god for awesome engineered shields , jumped system to my home base, which has me locked out until I pay the fine, so no fuel, so I jump, and now am wanted in every empire controlled system I hit, with no access to anything in the stations? :S The wicki says jump out and back, turns to legacy? Not here? Is this a bug or?
So now I am floating by a star with maybe one jump left in my tank, no scoop. :eek: Just pulled it off for this one bounty run as who needs one for one jump, right? None of the low sec systems had large pads to land on, which is where I burned up some remaining fuel. (Stupid!:eek: Shoulda just made a jump to the only non empire aligned system with a large pad first right? Then imported or bought a cheapo ship to fry) This has happened before when I was in the bubble, but was flying a smaller ship and found a low sec station with a small pad to clear the bounty and head home.
So, what do I do? Researched all the independent non empire aligned systems around me and the closest is 34ly away. 6 economy jumps. Like I am gonna make that on an 8th full tank? So I have no way to clear my bounty off my head that I am aware of? Or refuel. Any ideas?

Whooooot, never mind, after hours searching, so much for most the guides. Finally floated in on fumes at Epsilon Hydri. Won't ever fly without a scoop again in my life!

You're obviously working with the old Crime and Punishment rules. They changed.

You can't clear bounties in different ships. You have to clear them in the ship you got them in. There are no Legacy fines anymore.

You need to jump to an Anarchy to refuel and clear your Bounty with an Interstellar Contact who is found in the Contacts panel of the Station.

If you can't do that call the Fuel Rats.

Do a search for Anarchy Government type on your Galaxy Map you might get lucky.

Also non-Anarchy systems sometimes have single or more Anarchy Stations or Planetary Settlements. Check the System maps.

You are out of options. Your only bet is to check very good the surrounding systems, to check if you could maybe get your fines paid.

If that turns out impossible, then calling the rats may be your only choice, apart from self destruction...

This guys (the fuel rats) are real pros and will come to give you some liquid in no time. They've helped countless commanders in difficult situations, there is no shame in calling them for help...


The errors you made and you should avoid in the future are the following:

- Never fly without a fuel Scoop. You know where you're starting a fight, but not where you are going to end it. the ability to auto-generate fuel from the solar energy is essential for the survivability in space...

- Always check your surroundings: If you go bounty hunting, check the surrounding systems and pick up a suitable place to space to, should you need it.

- Be very careful with "friendly fire", specially if it is your fire... Be always prepared to retract hardpoint and leave, if things get nasty with the wrong people.

And forth and most important, always equip a fuel scoop. I already said that, but is double important....

There is just no way to avoid something like this no matter how careful you are. Caution will reduce the chances of friendly fire fines and bounties but not eliminate them.
I was just at the bounty hunting cg in a haz res and close enough to the cobra i was shooting at to see a yellow plume shooting out of its hull, an effect of corrosive MC i guess, when a clean python flew between us, so close that it completely blocked my vision of the cobra.
Took the pythons shields off and got me a 600 credit bounty which i had to clear in the next system over.

I dont know how high the friendly fire threshold would have to be to account for engineered weapons, but it doesnt seem its high enough to me.

My advice is if you know you are going to be in combat where friendlies might be present as well, know where the closest IF is located.

Guys, you rock! Thanks! The pirate bounty I took was only 7ly out so I thought why take a scoop? Dropped it for some extra bulk head as the next also short hop one is a 24 ship hunt I needed to get done. Now I understand the rules, so the ship, not me is now flagged until I take it somewhere and clear its issues in another system. Weird change, but it is what it is. Finding an interstellar optioned large pad port in a low security system is harder than it looks. Question? Do the new rules still have time limits where the ship will eventually loose the wanted status?


And why the heck am I wanted in every single surrounding Empire system also? Not just the one I had the infraction in?

Yeah, I usually have the target killed well before the feds show up. The new HCS setup has had me in menus far too often getting it all sorted out. Brilliant bloody program when it is working right.

And yeah, when I was out there almost empty on fuel, I kept telling myself you dumb @sss, over and over again. Us old blonde guys on pain meds gotta learn the hard way, twice! Lol

Got my vette docked, I can import my scoop and get it sorted now. Again, thanks for everything guys!

Well shoot, I can't access the ship outfitting menu with my vette. Seems even in the non affected system I am still locked out but can fly my ship out of here, but with no scoop? I think I am in trouble... lol

You can't access Outfitting in any System ( including Anarchies ) until you clear your Bounty with an Interstellar Factor. Check the Station Contacts Menu.

Next patch you will be able to Outfit at Anarchies regardless of Bounty.

You need to get to an Anarchy to refuel and clear your Bounty.
You can clear your Bounty at a Low Sec system too, then refuel - but I never have, always at Anarchies.

Wait 2 hours for your notoriety to reset to 0 (should easily have been 2 hours by now [yesnod])
Then use the Interstellar Factor. Log out, log in if it doesn't work 1st time.

Epsilon Hydri appears to be a Medium Security System.

Think your heading for a Fuel Rats experience.
Edit: Actually can you refuel where you are?
I'm uncertain because I haven't experienced your situation myself.
I always have a pre-planned Anarchy System to withdraw too.

Can't help with fuel as I'm on a different platform but can offer a small nugget of advice

Whenever any game you're playing has an update do a quick google search for the patch notes

Passes the time while waiting for it to download and means you don't get caught unawares as you have here

Guys , once again thanks. What I ended up doing was taking my new T10 defender on a long engineering journey, ending up in Founders world at Jamison station for new armor. Gotta spend a couple hundred mil somewhere, right? Plus I wanted to price out my new Imperial cutter want list as I am just about there in my ranks. Took about a tenth the time my fed ranks cost me last summer/fall.
Imported my wanted vette but got hit with a 5mil wanted transfer penalty. No big deal. I can make that in one haul. Imported my 6a scoop and large fuel tank, and off to find an interstellar contact with a large pad. Just to make sure this doesn't happen again at least due to my VA/HSC voice packs acting up. Which started this whole fiasco. As I was commanding a fighter deploy that HSC took into the wrong menu, which had me scrolling and yelling worthless unresponsive commands into my mic while I was getting my butt shot off. That and other issues. Jumped to another system and the singularity quit responding, at that exact moment I get interdicted with no working controls. Yeah, that was fun.
I hard wiped my gaming tower from the ground up and rebuilt a clean platform this weekend. Had to rule out any hidden files none of the bloody programs I have can't get at that may have been effectively messing with my singularities actions. Or lack thereof. And yeah, win 10, IOBIT and a few others couldn't seemingly get it all.

Plus, the down time gave me incentive to change my hud colors. Got real tired of the orange, but the changes make seeing everything in the station menu's a little sketchy at times. Sorry for writing a novel here! OMG. Too much coffee combined with some pain meds........



Whoooot, took some doing, but found a large station in San Tu called Chomsky Terminal. No more bounties! I'm freeeeeee.......
