Newcomer / Intro Stuck with Naval mission upon entering Sol

Hello everyone. I'll be brief and to the point and hopefully someone can help me out a little.
Ok so a couple of nights ago i done a couple of Federal navy missions and gained access to Sol and i was told to meet some Naval commander upon reaching Sol, now after many hours of flying just to get to Sol i decided to dock at the Dedalus and call it a night.
Now when i goto the bulletin board that mission (to go to Sol) is now un-obtainable (i already have the pass) yet i never met this commander and i cannot progress to the next set of Naval missions....

any help would be gratefully appreciated

Just continue with whatever what's on your mind and eventually they'll pop up again.

The permit "missions" just give you access to the specific system. There is no escalating mission or any further action required by the commander. It is just a misleading description. Permit missions still appearing in your BB is just another bug.

Continue to do missions Cmdr, you will find that the 'flagged for access to xyz area' will continue to appear; you can ignore them. Also, you do not need to go to to the unlocked system in order to continue increasing faction / ranking.
